I recently got this jar with stainless steel spout as a 3rd addition to my kombucha jars & it’s a game changer! The spout is very sturdy and fits snug with no leaks. Bottling is a breeze with this thing and I’m planning to use it as a container jar to dispense Booch whenever thirsty! Definitely recommend if you are bottling; days of spilling booch everywhere are gone!

I can't really say much about the kombucha jar other than it's evidently not very sturdy or heat tolerant. I was cleaning my jar before the first use and I had read not to clean with antibacterial soap so I followed a fellow kombucha brewer's suggestion who said she cleans hers with boiling water and vinegar. I pour in water that was very hot but not boiling and the bottom broke out. Therefore I never got to use my jar. Instead I kept the spout and used it in a jar I bought at the store in place of the plastic spout it came with. The spout seems to work very well but I was pretty disappointed the jar broke so easily. Be careful what you put in it.
