I was hesitant in buying this due to other negative reviews but it is cheap, very cheap, and it was what I needed to get a simple job done.Quality of workmanship is average, check the straightness of the T bar when selecting in the store as some were not straight. The pin for the adjustable clamp is not beveled so grind a bevel on it before you start the job as the pin will not slip in. This sash cramp is only suitable for joints where hard pressure to close and hold the joint is NOT required. But it did the job that I needed it to do.

I bought this clamp a week or 2 ago, I got what I payed for I guess. I would recommend getting at least 2 because on its own it’s not the greatest at balancing.

Don't buy this if you are seriously using it for clamping window-sashes or other woodwork. The holes on the main bar on one of mine don't line up with the hole in the cast sliding-jaw so I had to use a file and a hammer to push the pin through. The other comments about excess play and jaws not being square and parallel also apply.I desperately needed these during lockdown, otherwise I wouldn't have chosen them. Luckily for me, I didn't need my two for high-precision work so they will do.

How are you allowed to sell a T Bar clamp as 900mm when it can’t fit anything over 840mm? Is adding 80mm in small text making it not deceptive? You can’t buy 2.2Lt Omo bottle with 2L liquid in it. This is deceptive. Unfortunately for me I purchased 3 of them for a bench build that is 860mm wide..
Threads got stripped so when I tighten it it looses compression and just spins. Metal is too cheap
I have both the small and large sizes, however, the quality is so poor I am considering binning them all and getting a better product. They are robust, but the machining and finishing is nowhere near accurate enough for quality woodwork. Surfaces are not flat or square. There seem to be many different forms, so if you buy more they wont be dimensionally the same as the others (difficult to use in a group or on a flat surface). Some of the castings have simply broken off. Disappointing product and not fit for purpose, this range should be discontinued or the supplier forced to improve their quality.
Absolute rubbish. Brought 4. 1 fell apart on the way home. 2 snapped on the first job and the 1 I have left the holes don’t line up for the pin to go through. Very bad quality.
Broke on first use. Completely useless. Managed to bend the metal handle with my hand. I’m definitely no strong man!
These clamps are so poorly made that out of the box they're essentially unusable.- The jaws are so poorly machined that the surfaces are washboard rough and have razor sharp burrs on all sides.-The face on one of them was turned so badly it was 1.5mm concave in the centre.- The tolerances on the castings are so sloppy that when tightened, the jaws splay out at the top and the boards you're clamping are ejected up and out.- The feet aren't level so the machined top of the bar doesn't sit parallel to your work surface.- The feet are also different heights between clamps so your work doesn't sit flat across multiple clamps.- The threads aren't deburred and the retaining ring that holds the clamping jaw to the threaded rod is sloppy and undersized enough ... MoreThese clamps are so poorly made that out of the box they're essentially unusable.- The jaws are so poorly machined that the surfaces are washboard rough and have razor sharp burrs on all sides.-The face on one of them was turned so badly it was 1.5mm concave in the centre.- The tolerances on the castings are so sloppy that when tightened, the jaws splay out at the top and the boards you're clamping are ejected up and out.- The feet aren't level so the machined top of the bar doesn't sit parallel to your work surface.- The feet are also different heights between clamps so your work doesn't sit flat across multiple clamps.- The threads aren't deburred and the retaining ring that holds the clamping jaw to the threaded rod is sloppy and undersized enough that there is a full 5mm of play back and forth in the clamping jaw.It will take half or most of a day to pull apart the 4 I bought and regrind the faces, drill and tap for jack screws to act as levelling feet, shim the clamping jaw to remove the shocking amount of forward tilting slop, drill and tap for jacking screws in the moveable jaw to remove the shocking amount of *backward* tilting slop, turn new properly-fitting retaining rings and replace loose, mangled pins. These should be advertised as a rough casting kit, not a ready-for-use product. Fair enough, they're cheap, but unless you've got access to a mill, lathe and belt grinder to fix them they're cheap paperweights, not clamps.
Rubbish. Mainly because the handle bends instantly on first use. I have this and the 1200 one, same deal. Handle is way too thin and weak metal, and too short, which makes them useless. Ended up enheriting two cast ones from the 70s, thankfully. Really don't get why these are made, and so cheap. Craftright stuff is single use. If I was bunnings I'd seriously look at the quality of their products, because they just end up in the bin, and consumers waste money.
