The Stamp flat shoe does it all, whether on street or trail. The outsole is optimized for Crankbrothers Stamp pedal body, though it is designed to work flawlessly with any flat pedal. Its high-friction rubber compound provides optimal grip and its lug depth absorbs the pins to ensure a secure pedal connection.

Build quality seems exceptional! Design is sophisticated. Great job matching colours on different fabrics/materials. Fit seems very true to size and comfort is good so far. Lace "garage" as top of tongue is great.

Exceeded expectations! First pair of Crank Brothers and it won’t be my last. First ride felt more planted and secure then I thought a flat pedal could feel. Currently running a solid set of alloy pedals from another brand but these shoes may have convinced me to go ahead and pull the trigger on the matching Stamp flat pedal. Highly recommend!

Good, but not great

Pros:ComfortableLook goodFit true to sizeCons:The rubber on the bottom seems a bit weak compared to FiveTens I have owned over the yearsI was expecting a better grip when using my Crankbrother flat pedals.

I love the look, I

I love the look, I like the feel, but is not ideal for long hot days… the shell is more geared toward preventing ingress of water/mud do the ventilation ain’t great.

Love them!! These shoes lock
23 August 2024

Love them!! These shoes lock into my pedals so well it's like I'm clipped in. I love that I can easily slip them on and off without having to touch the laces. I was worried having to order in mens sizing but they fit my feet perfectly. They are a little stiff in the toes but I'm sure that will loosen up with more use.

New favorite
8 May 2021

Perfect sizing for my 12 feet. Not as wide as other brands (specialized and ride concept) which is better for my not too wide feet. Comfort is on top. Lacing is easy and fast. Lace pocket is a nice feature. Insole could be a tad firmer for my liking. Dry super fast and faster than other brands. Grip is not as grippy as 5.10 or the new Specialized. But is close and is a nice sweet spot. You still can reposition the foot easily and have a stable grip.A new favorite for me.

The Hunt for the Perfect On and Off Bike shoe
26 October 2021

For me when it comes to shoes, I’m pretty particular, my gravel/cross country shoes have to have carbon soles, I tasted the carbon years back and there is no replacement for the platform when comes to straight power transfer. My road shoes I look for the same, but a whole lot lighter for the miles and well grams…ha, might be a bit of weight weenie. When it comes time for new trail shoes, I’m looking for solid, well build cleat shanks having broken a few in the past and decent ankle protection as I ride a little heel in. This time around I was looking for shoes for a whole different purpose, an everyday shoe that could replace my Vans in comfort and offer some bike specific features fore when I’m pedaling around town, the Crank Brothers Stamp fit the bill.First off ... MoreFor me when it comes to shoes, I’m pretty particular, my gravel/cross country shoes have to have carbon soles, I tasted the carbon years back and there is no replacement for the platform when comes to straight power transfer. This time around I was looking for shoes for a whole different purpose, an everyday shoe that could replace my Vans in comfort and offer some bike specific features fore when I’m pedaling around town, the Crank Brothers Stamp fit the bill.First off let’s talk nice features, there is no doubt the Stamps are designed to be a flat pedal trail shoe, Crank Brothers did their homework, and these are chalked full of smart design decisions. The first and most obvious is the shoe upper Material, I don’t know it’s technical fabric name, but having had these shoes out in the rain, they are pretty water resistant in a solid down pour, I do have to say I generally am not a huge fan of the look of technical fabrics, but Crank Brothers kept these looking good, with the skate style vibe I Like. Second feature you’ll notice and one of the main reasons I was look for cycling shoes is the laces. The laces on the Stamps on hidden on the top of the show with loops for lacing vs Eyelets, this all but eliminates hot spots on the top of the foot, Crank brothers didn’t stop there, they included a pocket in the top of the tongue to tuck the lace loops in and away from the cranks, nice! And finally, the Sole, It’s grippy and just the right mix of platform for pedaling to flexible for walking around, which I’ve done quite a bit.Now let’s talk some cons to the Stamps, for me at least so far there has only been one little, ah for lack of better term, grip, it’s the heel cup. The Stamps heel cup is soft, sculpted and padded just as you’d expect from a bike shoe to hold your ankle in, and what at first thought seems like a good feature is small silicon grippers to really lock your ankle in. What I’ve noticed is at first you don’t even notice these grippers, but after walking and pedaling around for more than an hour or two these have started to create a hot spot on my ankle. It could be just my skinny ankles but something to note.Overall, The Stamps, just like all Crank Brother products are well thought out, stylish and high on my list of products I dig. They fit just as I expected, I wear a 10.5 in Vans, Shimano, Ride Concepts, Giro, specialized and now Cranks Brothers. At the end of the day would I buy them again, I would and will probably pick up a pair with cleats when it comes time for new trail shoes.PROSThe Styling, you can wear them every day and not look like a kook. The Laces – Hidden loops and Lace Pocket, Smart DesignTechnical Fabric that doesn’t look too TechyThe Sole – The right amount of flex for everyday use, and enough platform to pedal.CONSThe Heel Gripper – There’s enough padding to not need the silicon extras

The shoes are good but
24 October 2023

The shoes are good but I am really concerned about the durability. 3 rides in and there are decent chunks of rubber being taken off by the pedals. At this rate, they won't last more than a season.

Wanted these to be good
16 March 2021

I had high hopes for these but the match system is clearly marketing wankery. They grip far less than Five Ten. I still use them for milder XC/down country stuff where I am doing less bunny hops. Put it this way—no street trials rider is going to like these shoes.
