Crayola - Ultra-Clean Classic Washable Markers 10 Pack

I love that my toddler can play with Crayola washable crayons without to much worry. It is a relief to know that Crayola crayons are non toxic. So if my 3 year old decides to munch on a Crayola crayon I don’t need to rush into panic mode. Lol all she’d need is a drink, a talking to, and a good toothbrushing. Thank heavens for the small things! I also have walked into beautiful art work on my walls. To my surprise it was so easy to wipe off with water and a sponge. Yet, another wonderful way Crayola is a better brand than other crayons on the market. We love, and play daily with crayons in our house and without a doubt Crayola makes a really great quality, kid safe crayon.

That would explain why they performed slightly differently than I was used to... They color payoff is about the same as the original formulation, I would say. I did compare 9 colors in one of my images. I would say the red was probably the only color I tested side by side where the actual color looked different. The "Ultra-Clean Washable" red was actually a prettier color! The "Ultra-Clean Washable" crayons are more "glidey," and creamy, which would be easier for kids that can color in the lines to stay in the lines. This is when you are coloring, and some itty bitty pieces of wax fall off the crayon onto the coloring surface and you have to brush them out of the way. The "Ultra-Clean Washables" crayons have significantly more fallout. If you have someone who is not great at LIGHTLY brushing these crayon crumbs out of the way, this can cause smearing. Some people might call these little nibs/crumbs "grits," but I don't use that term, and these crayons are NOT gritty in and of themselves. As addressed above, they're actually creamier and glidier than the originals! I will also say that the "Ultra-Clean Washable" crayons are more prone to smearing. I ran my finger over each color after coloring, and the "Ultra-Clean Washable" crayons smeared out of their respective squares more. Not an insane amount, but it was a noticeable difference. The black especially seemed prone to smearing of the 9 colors I tested. If you have a left-hander, this might cause a problem. The only other aspect to mention is kind of a weird thing, but in the box, a lot of the "Ultra-Clean Washable" crayons had some white residue/powder on them? It wiped off. Maybe they sat in a storage warehouse for a bit and it was dust, who knows. It didn't affect performance. As far as washability. . . - The "Ultra-Clean Washable" crayons DID come off of a wall that was painted with eggshell latex paint. (Both the original and the "Ultra-Clean Washable" came off equally well. In general, as long as you don't have flat sheen paint, crayons come off the wall.) - The "Ultra-Clean Washable" crayons DID come off of a gray 100% cotton t-shirt. (Both the original and the "Ultra-Clean Washable" came off for the most part. The "Ultra-Clean Washable" came off completely and didn't need any further attention. The original came off mostly pre-laundering, and the rest came off in the laundry cycle.) - The "Ultra-Clean Washable" crayons definitely DID come off of the skin better. I would say the skin (hands) is where I noticed the biggest improvement over the original in the washability factor.

Crayola is really THE brand to get crayons. No other brands have ever stood up in my home. Crayola is strong and sturdy and quality made. The colors come out bright and thick unlike other brands we have tried that come off as nearly plain wax. The durability of them is great. They will crack if you really give them the beans. Again, other brands we have tried will crack at the first attempt at usage. My favorite part of Crayola is the super fun crayon color names! You can’t go wrong using this brand for any coloring needs!

These markers are a classic. They have been around since I was a kid and they are my only go to for choosing markers for my classroom. The colours are vibrant and the selection is outstanding. From peach to rose, brown to light orange, the choices go on. These are perfect for my preschoolers because it is non toxic, in case they decide to taste the marker, which happens often. The one and only downfall is, they seem to stain more now than they did back years ago. I have to use a magic eraser to clean the marker off of the table where as a few years ago it came off with a wet cloth and some soap. Crayola, best choice!

I love that these are fine tipped as my 5 year old is learning to write, and the finer the Point the better! They last a decent amount of time. The colors are bright and smooth. The one thing I have to say that I am not too happy with is the fact that certain colors absolutely Do NOT wash out. They tend to stain immediately and even if I pretreat it, or I immediately begin to attempt to wash it the moment I see it on any clothing, but it doesn't come out. Black, red and blues and purples. They are the worst. But otherwise I just make sure while we are at home he wears paint clothes. In school is the worst because he will cone home covered and i never know when they will use markers. So kust keep that in mind!

Love crayola way better than any other crayons we’ve ever tried. The colors are pretty much just the same on paper (aside from a few). There are enough colors to color virtually anything, the packaging is pretty sturdy compared to the cheaper brands and it shows. I have old boxes and new boxes, but they are all still usable! I highly recommend these crayons over any other brand! And you can usually find great deals for them around back to school time! Either way, it’s worth the extra $ to buy the better and longer lasting crayons for your little one and quite possibly yourself! :)
