I'm a 3D print novice but this was recommended by a friend who is a very experienced user. I've been using it now for several weeks and it has all been good. It's quiet, easy to use and produces good quality prints; my first test piece was a print-in-place puzzle that I designed on FreeCAD and it was a success. The only change I've made is to set the level manually; the auto levelling worked but only to within 2mm across the bed and I needed it to within the thickness of a sheet of paper. The result was definitely worth the effort; beforehand a 10mm diameter x 80mm rod would roll to the side but afterwards the new one rolled straight.

The Ender 3S1 is a all-out an amazing machine if you want something right out of the box that prints and 80 to set up and ready to go without any hassle. Any fandangling other than maybe manual leveling the bed and using the auto leveling prints. Amazing! Easy to use interface and quiet as an ox and amazing printer to buy. I would recommend for any beginner and the S1 is in a great all-around easy to use quick and fast setup and easy to print with Great size, build plate for a starter and very little maintenance and all the upgrades you could ask for except the printing head is not the all metal on metal version which you can change and upgrade to. If you're using any materials that require more than 26°, which is I believe 300 max with the all metal head. 4th printer from Creality.First try at direct extruder,Only issue I have seen from this printer is that the auto bed leveling doesn;t always work with stock or custom firmware. On custom firmware where you can see the bed mesh values, the reported bed values goes more and more negative as more points are probed. Doesn't happen everytime which makes it more difficult to diagnose.

This is a fantastic piece of kit for anyone looking for their first 3D printer or looking to add another. This prints PLA extremely cleanly with hardly no defects at all straight out the box. The interface is very easy to use and the instructions are clear and simple to set this up. Apart from the small noise the fan makes when it comes on for cooling the material there is barely no noise from this printer. I have this set up above my desk and am able to go onto video calls without others hearing it print. This is my first personal 3D printer and am very happy with the results.

Ordering was simple and the printer was delivered quickly and safely. Big thanks to Technology Outlet.Unbox and build took me under an hour, simple to do and with the auto bed levelling with a little a axis adjustment I was printing my first test piece, the Bunny! I was mesmerised watching this machine create this little bunny from a machine I had no experience with and after 40 minutes a bunny was born, perfect. The build quality of the printer feels first rate, controls easy to use and after I added the Creality WiFi box I was printing Vases and Dragons with great success. I have also designed my own models in Tinkercad and imported into Creality Cloud and printed them with no issues. One downside I have found is that the print bed seems to be deteriorating faster than I expected and direct replacements of the bed that comes with the Ender 3 S1 cannot be found. It is a real shame that the printer did not come with the Sprite Pro extruder with is all metal but with only the standard Sprite which is only really safe up to 240 DegC which in my opinion lets the machine down.Another issue is the spool holder, it allows the spool to drift and on occasions causes the filament to jam at the side of the spool.Even though I have found a few issues and let downs on the supplied extruder the Ender 3 S1 is a superb printer and one I would definitely recommend for a first 3D printer.

A huge upgrade from ender 3

Excellent printer that ALMOST works perfectly out of the box…. Auto bed leveling doesn’t really seem to work (I just used it for the first time yesterday so need to investigate further) but luckily the printer has a « tune » function that lets you offset the z axis… basically in my case the auto bed leveling put the nose WAY to high above the build plate…. I had to offset the z-axis by -2.80 to get good layering.Other than this small setback the printer works REALLY well out of the box.

Pros: Great prints straight out of the box. Used both PLA and TPU for lots of prints now without a single failure.Cons: Maybe update the firmware if you need to. I found a bug where you can't deselect the extruder manual setting. But a reset of the machine cured that. All in all a great printer. Best one I've had. Also great price.

Pros: This is a great printer. It was easy to put together using the instructions. The printer calibration was also fairly straightforward. Once set up, the printer does excellent quality prints and I've had no issues with bed adhesion. The steel spring plate means that printed parts are also quite easy to remove.Cons: Nothing so far.

13 August 2022

Pros: Seems to be a good printerCons: After having used the printer for sometime now, it has been good on the whole. Need to frequently level the bed. Bed levelling function seems to superfluous. However since yesterday unable to use as prints not sticking to a new bed I have just purchased - no matter what I've tried - just is not playingball. Not as good (in my opinion and the 3V2.
