Cream Pomade by American Crew For Men - 3 oz Cream

This is my absolute favorite pomade so far! It really "gels" with my hair...ok, but really it's the perfect consistency! It's not sticky, or greasy at all. It blends really easily, and works well to bring out the natural texture of your hair without looking tacky. I like the smell, it's like a light lemon meringue, it's not too masculine. I use Crew products for my pixie cut, and sometimes it elicits teasing from family, but I'm not above using men's products if they just blatantly work better!

American Crew Cream Pomade 85g

Been using this product for just over a month and it is the perfect pomade for thick wavy hair. Product emsulifies really easy and glides through leaving it with a natural shine. It also doesnt crisp up thereby allowing you put your hair back in position with ease. Only problem with the product is the scent. It smells like a lemon refresher but sweeter. It isnt as bad as other reviews make out though.

i bought both the pomade cream which is this RED tub and the GREEN tub forming cream. I could not even put this pomade cream on my head the smell is. . . . just BAD, its like a pungant, dank spicy, damp sort of smell not something id want someone to get a whiff of coming from my head quite frankly if you prefer a more shampoo like smell stick to the green tub forming cream insead

Cream Pomade

I like this product. I've been using it for a while. It definitely has a good hold on your hair without making it look like there's anything in your hair. I would recommend maybe adding some natural ingredients to make it smell a little better, if possible. Also, I don't know who did the wrapping, but filling up the entire box with confetti paper for a small container of this cream pomade was not the move. If it's like an environmentally friendly thing, I get it, but find a new option. The confetti paper is a mess and leaves behind a lot of paper powder all over everything inside the box and then it got on my hands and on the floor.

Great product

Apply to damp/towel dried hair for best results and finish using a little more. Scoops out perfectly fine. Breaks down/Emulsifies great, however it does leave a sticky residue on your hands. The smell is a bit funky, but definitely not the worst. I would use this in combination with a matte product(as a finishing product) because the shine can look a bit greasy at times. Do keep in mind it is a low hold product, so I wouldn't recommend if you have medium length/long hair or if you're expecting your hair to maintain all day. I say the smell was the reason for the 4 Stars overall.

Great product!

This is a great product! It works great on my curly/wavy hair without feeling heavy or sticky, and with no alcohol in the ingredients, it doesn't dry out my hair. It smells good, too. Highly recommended!

Love this hair cream

Best hair cream ever. Used it for a couple months and it’s nice and flexible. I usually slick my hair back very loosely and this keeps it for quite a while. Works best when my hair is blow dried back.

Not for me but probably good for others

I bought 4 American crew products at the same time to compare them, the Cream Pomade, the Matte Styling Cream, the Forming Cream, and the Defining Paste. The descriptions on the American Crew website aren't helpful, so I am hoping my description helps. The Cream Pomade dries quickly and dries slightly firm. It does not really hold shape but keeps the frizz down. If you rub your fingers through it, it will still keep the frizz lightly at bay. It holds a bit less than I want, but I can't fault the product for that. It does tend to feel lightly greasy if you don't shower in the morning.

Partner loves it

This is my partner's favorite cream pomade to use in his hair. We first bought it in an Ulta store, when we saw signs explaining the differences between the various creams and pomades. This is the one that holds his hair best and doesn't make it as hard as a rock. His hair is still soft but the hold stays all day while he's at work.

Rich yet light cream—imagine a light hold Fiber

This rich yet lightweight cream spreads easily and provides a light hold with low shine as described. Its aroma is quite similar to Fiber and its performance is what I would imagine a light gold version of that product to be. This would be great for medium to coarse hair in short styles that seek natural control without the need for major sculpting or manipulating. If you seek something with a low shine finish but more substantial and/or element-defying hold then try Fiber or perhaps combine the two products for customized control.
