I got these more than a month ago and they are SUPERB. Incredibly loud speakers... I mean, unnecessarily loud. The sound quality is crystal clear, the only complaint is if you mess with the aux cable it could screw with the sound quality, but that's with any AUX speaker really. I used them for a few weeks just as Desktop speakers, but I didn't like how the sound felt like it was coming from "under" me, so I got them mounted and WOW does it sound amazing. I would highly suggest you get these and get them mounted!

These lil guys utterly slam for the price your paying. I bought these guys as a replacement for the awfully quiet speakers in my mother in laws laptop speakers that are so quiet you strain your hear anything. Plug em in and and youre good to go. Theyre loud, clear and for the price they rock hard for so called pebbles. Top end isnt really there much, but what do you expect for this price. Surprisingly good bass and clear voice, great as a cheap sound system for movies and causal gaming where full sound immersion isnt sought after. Could not recommend more at this price point.

I needed a new speaker for my computer. The old one had started humming all day long. Turns out some wires were broken. And I found a good deal at Amazon. Amazon gave me many choices, from $20 to over $50 and the best one was around $39 with Bluetooth and "HEAR EVERY WORD WITH CLEAR DIALOG AUDIO PROCESSING." WOW. What a great deal from Amazon. But how about Walmart? Could they be even less expensive? And I go to Walmart and since I need another grocery order soon I buy there. And the price is around $29. But they do not have all the choices Amazon did. I think this has got to be the Amazon $39 speaker. And I ordered it. And it arrived. But the package said AMAZON! How can that be? It be. Shopped Amazon, bought from Walmart and delivered saying "Amazon" on the package. Like different fingers of the same hand.

The Creative Labs Pebble 2 Computer Stereo Speakers require two ports on one's laptop for connectivity: an audio-out headphone jack for the sound AND a spare USB port to enable the laptop to power the speakers because they do not have a separate power supply. Since these speakers are not separately powered they have a limited volume level that may not be as loud in some circumstances as one would prefer. An On/Off / Volume knob controls the volume that, more often than not, is kept at the max level for sufficient sound. For the low price and limited power these speakers are surprisingly accurate sounding and have a fuller-than-expected sound. It may be possible to obtain louder volumes if the USB connector is plugged into a separately powered USB router. I rarely buy two of a thing, but I'll be coming back for another of these! My partner and I don't need more than 2.0 for our home office spaces, and we don't want speakers that take up a lot of space. These fit nicely on our desks and are not a distraction. The wires aren't a problem for us. We tested these with The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby" (the recording with vocals on the right channel and string octet mixed on another separate channel), overlapping dialog scenes from MASH, and some shows with scenes where dialog, action SFX, and epic orchestral score are present. The speakers performed well on all of these. We could clearly hear vocals/dialog and still enjoy the depth of the music. The sound travels well, so there's little need to blast at high volume. Obviously, if you're looking for an immersive surround sound experience, or the Perfect Hi-Fidelity Audio, then these aren't the speakers to give you that. What these give you is a significant improvement in sound over laptop or monitor speakers, without take up a lot of space.
I wanted something smaller than my Razer Nommo speakers (which are huge by comparison) and these are exactly what I was looking for. A clean, simple design and plug-n-play setup. Theses speakers are powered by a USB-A cable and use a standard 3.5mm headphone plug for audio. Sound quality is good and there is more than enough volume to work with. For only $20 I think these Pebble speakers are a great option out there for budget buyers.
These have surprisingly good sound for their size and are a nice solution for video calls and background music in my wife's home office. Just so nobody else makes the same mistake: these are only POWERED by the USB connection; they aren't a USB audio device, so they have a secondary cable with 3.5mm stereo plug to connect to the headphone/speaker jack of your computer too. That was a bit disappointing; I was misled by the product photo and USB 2.0 description, thinking these were an elegant one-cable solution with both power and audio over USB. But the sound quality is good enough that we'll be keeping these. I needed a new pair for the work office as I was returning (finally) after COVID. I've only used these a few times but the sound is pretty good considering the price point. They are slightly larger than I expected (I didn't bother looking closely as spec) but probably helps with the sound so not really a problem. They are powered by the USB input but I would have thought they also received sound the same way. Not the case, power comes through USB and audio through the 1/8 audio plug. Not a big deal though, just an extra connection you'll have to account for and perhaps not as much flexibility on wire length as would be ideal from just the one cable.
These speakers arrived today, overall I am pleased with them considering the low cost, they have decent mids and highs and bass is passable. The connecting cable is just a fraction too short so I cant sit the speakers right on each back corner of my 1200mm desk which is a minor frustration. There is also no wireless connectivity and the USB is for power. The max volume is just passable but they could be a bit louder so you can crank your favourite songs. But for the money, for working at your desk watching youtube etc then they are solid purchase.
The Pebble 2.0 are a good set of speakers, and I think of them as the perfect entry point for a PC audio solution. They look good for speakers in general, which is remarkable at this price point, considering other products of similar value (i.e Logitech's Z200) tend to take a squarer, boxier form that takes up more space. The materials are unremarkable; apart from the rubber ring on the base of the speakers, plastics are used throughout, with a matte finish for most of the sphere-like body, and glossy inset plastic in the cutout where the speakers emerge. Like any product with black plastics, this will collect fingerprints if you handle it too often, and the black gloss is going to attract dust. It's a trivial issue, but it's worth remembering. Like any product with black plastics, this will collect fingerprints if you handle it too often, and the black gloss is going to attract dust. It's a trivial issue, but it's worth remembering. The volume knob is accompanied by a small green LED which is a touch too bright in my opinion, and is mildly distracting-- I'm tempted to put a sticker over it. The device connects by one USB cable for power, and a 3.5mm cable for the audio-out jack of your output device (e.g your computer). Apparently you can use a 5V 1A USB power adapter too, although this is not included. Making the Pebble a two-cable affair w/ 3.5mm plug-in keeps the device simpler and cheaper, and means you can use it to play sound from non-USB devices, but sound quality may vary depending on your sound card if you're pairing it with a PC. I tested the sound of my Pebble speakers and I was satisfied. The bass is greater than one would expect from these little guys, each one about the size of a magic eight-ball. You could feel the speakers vibrating to the touch and radiating through the desk, so it's got a little oomph to it. The sound quality was fairly clear and detailed, reasonable enough that I could listen to music comfortably. For a system of this price, size, and simplicity, I give it a thumbs up. My previous speaker set was the Logitech Z533 2.1 speakers which I bought in 2017, which had a similar colour scheme to the Pebble. They failed after little more than a year (just out of warranty period, of course) and I wasn't keen on having another big subwoofer take up my desk space. Certainly, the extra grunt of a larger system does produce better quality sound, and in comparison, the 2.0 speakers in the Pebble are slightly "hollower" in some applications than larger systems (oddly, something I notice more when listening to dialogue and general video than I do with music). However, the combination of sound quality, size, and design the Pebble offers at 1/3 of the cost of my old set is a winning combination for me (note: I got my Pebble in the Christmas discount in 2018, so prices may have changed). If you want a set of stylish, good quality speakers at a price that is good value, and you don't want your desk dominated by bulky speakers, this is the one to go for.
