Have not used the machine yet but I am thrilled to have it. I cannot wait to try it out. I bought a second hand machine because I do many different kinds of art projects for my business so I only need this Cricut machine for when I need leather or cork pieces cut. I am sure I can learn to incorporate the many different techniques into my various projects. Thanks so much..

The Cricut Maker is a great machine, cuts smoothly and quiet. BUT...the software is very limited! I have used a Silhouette Cameo for years and wanted to upgrade to a new one. Cricut Maker had a lot of positive reviews so I tried one. The software is too simple to design with. You would need to design your pattern on another program before you send it to the Cricut Maker. The Silhouette Cameo software allows you to trace any photo into the program, change the shape of each individual piece without dealing with layers and so much more! So I returned the Cricut back to Walmart. Walmart is GREAT about how they make it so easy to return items. I had ordered online, went through the return process on their website, printed the scan form and returned it to my local Walmart ... MoreThe Cricut Maker is a great machine, cuts smoothly and quiet. Although rather heavy, this digital cutter is amazing. It cuts through most materials as long as the correct blade is used. Unfortunately, accessories are unnecessarily, rather expensive. Cricut make lot of money from the extra items needed. It's been a learning curve, getting to grips with the Maker but I've had lots of fun. Just take your time and enjoy.

If you ever wondered what it would be like to own a cricut - just buy one! The things this can do is crazy. I've spent many hours researching the different cutting machines and this hands down - is the best! I've had a lot of fun playing with this cricut maker. I've made personalised onesies & bibs for my daughter; zooper dooper holders; my husband's logo onto his work shirts, stubby holders, mugs, car decals; wall decals for my sons' bedroom walls; tote bags for shopping and library bags for my children; not to mention cards of all kinds. I've probably forgot to list the other things I've made with the maker. YouTube is your new best friend. Have been asked to make items for an upcoming wedding also. I was going to dip my feet in the cricut world and buy a cricut joy - so glad I went for the maker first. Cricut maker is super versatile as you can buy items outside of the brand as well. I never ever ever write reviews - but I was excited to write one for the cricut maker.
I had bought a Cricut Air 2 for the preschool I worked at. It was amazing and cut down on our cutting drastically. I could create templates on it and use it in years to come. I moved jobs and no longer had a Cricut. I checked out the models and decided the Cricut Maker was worth a try and I love it. I just have to get more practices at applying adhesive vinyl to surfaces.
Crafts have never been better since I bought my Cricut Maker. I am in love with it and maybe a little obsessed. The crafts I can make with this amazing cutting machine is insane and what it can cut is even crazier. I have made items from wood carved signs to leather hair pieces. From cardboard cutouts to vinyl cutouts. Also T-shirts, ornaments, bows, decorations, earrings, and with your creative mind the list is limitless. This beautiful machine can cut anything from paper to some wood depending on the cutting utensil you use. It can also carve into metal if you have the metal carving tool. You came make stencils and use them to chalk or to etch into glass. Like I said endless! The machine works with a computer or certain tablets, it is Bluetooth enabled or usb. The minimum tools come with the machine so as you learn you will want to see what tools you need for what you will be working on. The software is online and many images are free and you can also get a yearly subscription that gives you even millions of more images. The software is on a five out of one to ten scale on learning. However, there are tons of videos on how to create in the creative maker space. I really love this machine and it is the best thing I have ever bought for my crafting needs! I can now make beautiful items for my family and decorations for the house.
I purchased this machine in Lavender, which is evidently now not available, in 2020. I immediately had connectivity issues so contacted Cricuit. The person that helped me had me video my computer and the Cricuit machine, after which she determined Cricuit would replace my machine. I promptly received a new Cricuit. I used the new Cricuit probably four times without issue, and then due to an autoimmune disease, was unable to use the machine for approximately 8 months. I hooked the machine up four days ago, and the message I received was \"Machine Deactivated,\" and that if I thought I was getting the message in error, to contact Member Services. I troubleshot the issue myself as I am not computer illiterate, but to no avail, it would not work. I troubleshot the issue myself as I am not computer illiterate, but to no avail, it would not work. So, I emailed Member Services. I promptly received an email to call them. I called them and was told the wait time to speak to someone was, wait for it . . . 2 hours. After the music played a few minutes, another message told me I could continue to wait or push the pound key and I would reserve my place in line and someone would call me back. I pushed the pound key and it has now been 5 hours and I have not heard from a soul from Cricuit. Unfortunately, when these machines work, they are a life saver. I have tried it with a Macbook Pro and an HP. I would steer completely clear of this machine.
I purchased Cricut Maker for my 12 year old daughter and I to get into crafting together. What a fabulous machine! We've only just begun to learn how to use it and already the results are super impressive. It's easy to set up and use and the craft project options are endless. Highly recommend.
The Cricut Maker has certainly exceeded my expectations at what it can do. I am using it to make colourful decorations for the school library and the options available for different designs is amazing. This is a great addition to our school equipment and will be terrific for classroom projects.
Just got my cricut a week ago and I need to start learning from the very beginning so this was very helpful. I have participated in a couple of other online webinars on cricut But not through cricut and we're cricut and they were less helpful and had much more technical difficulties. It was a great place to start for beginners. I just felt bad for the poor chat person who was trying to keep up who tell her I'm sorry. thank you!
