I recently purchased transfer tape from Michaels, and I'm thrilled with its performance. The adhesive quality is superb, making it easy to transfer intricate designs smoothly. Michaels continues to deliver reliable crafting supplies, and this transfer tape is no exception. Highly recommend for anyone looking for precision in their DIY projects!

I usually purchase my permanent and HTV vinyl online but I needed something quick for a project so we picked up rolls of black and white at our local Wal Mart. Cheap is an understatement! I've tried it on metal, plastic, composite wood and glass and it will not stick, it's hard to remove from the transfer paper and weeding has been a nightmare! I thought being this was made by Cricut it would be top quality but that is not the case. I will stick to my off-brand that I've used for years without any issues. Disappointed!

I bought several rolls of the Cricut Removable Matte Premium Vinyl last week to use for decals for a friends' nursery. It cuts decently well for larger shapes and (as long as you don't use Cricut brand Transfer Tape) it applies very easily to walls. However after applying several different decals to my friends' nursery walls, pressing them down, removing air bubbles, and leaving the room for several hours my friend noticed that the vinyl was beginning to droop off the walls. By the morning (this was less than 12 hours later) all the Cricut brand vinyl had fallen off the walls completely. The only vinyl that remained was a decal I had cut with a different brand of removable matte vinyl. Guess I know what I have to rebuy and which one is a waste of money.P.S. - ... MoreI bought several rolls of the Cricut Removable Matte Premium Vinyl last week to use for decals for a friends' nursery. Very nice glossy vinyl but if you have a circuit maker 3 (this is 12 inch wide not the 13 inch required) so to get round the size difference you require the mat to sit it on to cut with accuracy? The mats are 13 inch wide for the latest machine speck (not the earlier machines which are 12 inch wide? ) so check before you buy? You have settings in the cutting to use a mat or not? For 13inch you won’t need the mat but for 12 inch vinyls you will require a mat? But with the mat cuts very well and suits the purpose you require, good to pick out and fit to your projects
Do not order the gold vinyl using this website! I ordered two rolls of gold, and the photo showed that it would be a traditional gold that is bright metallic with a sheen. The photo on the website shows that the label at the top should read "permanent glossy, permanent brillant." However, the "gold" I got from my order is a greenish color with no shine. The label does not match and only says "permanent glossy". When I contacted customer service, they said that "colors may differ" and would not guarantee that I could get the correct product shown under "gold" on their website if I exchnaged my order. Do not trust the colors and labels you see here, as Cricuit will not guarantee that you get the product you actually need.
You get what you pay for. Cheap is cheap. The Black permanent vinyl is terrible! Little details do not weed. They stick to the vinyl but not the backing when weeding. It has a shiny finish that shows every little scratch.Don't waster your money like I did. Bought two rolls and threw them both away.
I haven't used Cricut permanent vinyl for years as the quality a few years ago was terrible. I had run out of my usual vinyl and needed it urgently so this was my only option. It's much thicker than it used to be, and it didn't bubble up as previously, and it stayed put. I used it to add to Christmas baubles, it cut perfectly on my Cricut air on the vinyl setting, was very easy to weed and apply. The quality is so much better overall and I will definitely be using it more on my projects.
I expected the permanent vinyl to be more permanent. They cut well in the cricut, it applied just fine to the bags I wanted to customize, but maybe this isn't meant to be added to things that move. I got plastic drawstring bags for my daughter's soccer team and the vinyl looked great right after I got them on the bags, but the second we started trying to use the bag, the vinyl was coming off.
While I see so many great reviews for this project, I cannot say I've had a great experience. Actually, I've had a terrible experience! Given Michaels was hold a 50% off sale for all Cricut products, I decided to purchase their Premium Vinyl. It was the worst vinyl I've worked with to date. It was very difficult to weed and almost impossible to get it to stick to transfer tape. After trying to work with it over the course of 2 days I have finally given up and order another brand, which has worked wonderfully for me in the past.
I was looking for something durable and sticky to spiff up an (ugly) flexible attic fan cover. I had no idea what Michael's might have, but thought it was a good place to start--and was I ever right! This product turned out to be exactly what I needed (even though I don't even own and have never used a Cricut machine). Wandering around in Michael's sparked a lot of creative contemplation of various products, but the serendipity of stumbling on this material was a "Eureka!" moment for me & my project. (Plus, it's really fun to look at all the stuff you might never even have known existed ... but Michael's has it!)
