Getting prepared for a wedding is a chore. We made our own signage. To save money we originally used vinyl purchased at a discount store. We quickly found out that the quality of the product we purchased was very poor. It was very thin, hard to weed and tore very easily. We wanted something that would stand out but was not over the top or shiny. Cricut Premium Vinyl in Shimmer was just what we needed! It was very easy to use and looked terrific! Never again will we use any other brand for our crafting projects!!!

Very nice glossy vinyl but if you have a circuit maker 3 (this is 12 inch wide not the 13 inch required) so to get round the size difference you require the mat to sit it on to cut with accuracy? The mats are 13 inch wide for the latest machine speck (not the earlier machines which are 12 inch wide? ) so check before you buy? You have settings in the cutting to use a mat or not? For 13inch you won’t need the mat but for 12 inch vinyls you will require a mat? But with the mat cuts very well and suits the purpose you require, good to pick out and fit to your projects

I make tumblers with this vinyl and it always holds on fantastic, seals nicely under the resin, and cuts easily in my explore air 2. Good thickness and easy weeding this product. Lights years better than Siser.One recommendation is before attempting to remove it from the tube, put fingers in the middle of the tube and give it a good clockwise twist to loosen the vinyl from the inside of the tube. I’ve run into, and have spoken with others with this same issue, where the vinyl must be on a conveyer line and dispensed into the tube via a machine because it will be sealed into the bottom plug. A quick twist before removing ensures yours was loaded correctly. If not, carefully cut the bottom plug off the tube.

When transfering the fuschia pink vinyl, the silver backing kept separating from the vinyl. This made it so hard to work with and took 5x longer to do the project to try to keep the silver shimmer backing intact. You can see where the silver backing pulled away in the final product, because the color is uneven and blotchy. I also have this in green, and it worked fine, but the Fuschia is definitely defective. The color is stunning though, so hopefully this was just a bad batch!
This product has been a huge game changer since I added it to my collection of vinyl. It was enhanced the outcome of my projects and lessen the worry of damage to my projects are permanent vinyl is more durable and weather proof. Using this product in combination with wooden slats have added amazing detail and charm to my vegetable garden as I made signs for all my plots. I recommend this product for those who wish to have a more lasting vinyl project as it can stand the changing weather and will not come off easily when doing permeant or vast projects that you wish to keep for an extended period of time. The black colour is crisp and it can still be removed if you need, especially when you make errors, which we all do sometimes!
I really don’t know or understand these other people are talking about. This Brushed Vinyl is fantastic! I make sure to use the correct vinyl settings, use a “premium“ blade on my Maker 3, and have cut (use “more”) and weeded very intricate designs with no issues.The strong grip transfer tape is definitely the best one to use. I will say that I kind of touch it a lot, so it’s not so tacky and can still use it at least two or three times and my designs adhere to my projects fantastically!I also use it as a base layer for some custom business merchandise, on glass and it’s by far the fan favorite! I do cut it the direction where the grain looks horizontal, and turns out beautifully every time!.
I love this vinyl! I use it to make bookmarks and it works like a dream. I find it very easy to work with and the finish is fantastic! I love all of the colors and find that this textured vinyl handles fine detail work better than the shimmer or plain vinyls because it is slightly thicker so you have less risk of tearing. It's best if your blade is nice and sharp for cutting but really - I have zero complaints! ♥
It’s beautiful right, but it will NOT stick to transfer paper! No matter how hard I tried. I was making 16 signs for our cheerleaders, yes 16. So one everything gets cut and I’m trying to place letters it was extraordinarily frustrating! I am no novice when it comes to these projects. I have both an explore air, and a maker. Tools upon tools, and lots of tricks up my sleeve. I had to HAND place my letters and designs! It took tons of extra time. Some of the designs were a bear to come off the paper backing! I guess to end on a positive, it sticks well once placed and the shimmer looks pretty.
I am so disappointed in the huge increases you have put on all your products. You are making it very difficult for someone to enjoy using their Cricut to create and design items. The cost of your bulk vinyl increased from an average of $17.00 a roll to $81.00. 50% ??? How insane is that? What could possibly cause an item to increase that much. Please do not use COVID as this increase has happened in the past few months. It is because you are trying to force people into purchasing your Smart Vinyl which is also expensive and also expecting everyone to change machines. While I see so many great reviews for this project, I cannot say I've had a great experience. Actually, I've had a terrible experience! Given Michaels was hold a 50% off sale for all Cricut products, I decided to purchase their Premium Vinyl. It was the worst vinyl I've worked with to date. It was very difficult to weed and almost impossible to get it to stick to transfer tape. After trying to work with it over the course of 2 days I have finally given up and order another brand, which has worked wonderfully for me in the past.
