This BBQ is amazing but definitely takes some getting used to. It’s insanely hot so I’ve had to switch up how I cook everything from snags to butterfly lamb but the extra heat range means you can cook steak the way it is supposed to be done and makes cleaning a breeze.

I have always bought Weber bbq’s but have always been disappointed with lack of heat as all burners have to be lit (waste of gas as well). Buy this BBQ!! It is not cheap, but will be the best purchase you have ever made. Solidly built, quick to assemble. Heat is incredible. Two burners, burger done in half the time of competitors. :)

Bought this bbq in December,So far it has performed perfectly well.I’ve cooked many different things on it and it has done a fantastic job.Just be aware that it runs a lot hotter than a normal bbq does.But it does so much more than other barbecue’s do,My favourite things to cook on it are roasts and potatoes, the potatoes are sooo crunchy.And pizzas are excellent as well.Pork crackle is so crunchy on the cross ray.In fact everything I’ve cooked has turned out excellent.
Fantastic BBQ for cooking on, and Chicken is so much juicier on this type of BBQ.Only 2 minor gripes are the gas hose connection is terrible and I bought another as it was so hard to screw in properly.And they also did away with the green lights in the controls, which is what drew me initially to the BBQ as a great Safety Feature to show when the BBQ is on to my Grandkids (as it gets extremely hot).Hence 4 stars
I have used the Crossray a few times now and I like the way it cooks evenly. I have used the rotisserie and cooked vegies at the same time. I was very happy with the results.
Great BBQ. We spent alot of time researching BBQs and this infrared alternative had the best reviews. It takes a little bit of time to get used to, but when you do, it delivers an amazing and even cook. Read the temperature guide before using and time your steak cooks. Be a little careful when breaking in the flad plates as i had some flames and it burnt the outside hood of the BBQ. I am excitied about cooking other meats. Have done steak, chicken and bacon so far, all with perfecr results.
I am just starting to use it & I am highly impressed with the quality construction. The heat up is fast & I am looking forward to experimenting with "Jack the Greek's" recipes.
Bought this for Christmas, I'm lucky I didn't wait for Christmas day to put it together as it doesn't come with a standard 9kg gas bottle fitting as shown in the promo photos on the web site and wasn't told about it when we picked it up. So now a 200km round trip to town to fix the problem, that a lady from Bunning over the phone said we fix with a new $80 gas bottle that will not fit other LPG using products we already own.I don't think so!!No more BBQ from Bunnings.I will be letting everybody know about this self-serving behaviour that has nothing to do with safety and every thing profit margin.Unless of course you wish to contact me and solve my issue free of charge with a connection that we can use with all our other gas bottles?
I have had a lot of outdoor cooking equipment over the years. This is by far the best gas fired BBQ I have ever had and wished had one years ago. The heat can get very high and it is very well made. We use it so much more than any previous BBQ. The heat also helps the grill stay very clean. It heats up quickly.
