Great taste! Don't forget to wash out the salt!! Wish the pieces were really chunks rather than slivers. We use it for salads (crab Louis) and "kanitama", a Japanese dish with crab (kana) and egg (tamago).

I have had Crown Prince salmon and tuna it was simply wonderful. I do not mean to sound conceded however I am a good cook, I learned from my Mother who mastered any ethnic dish she made. I have made it hot in a casserole or cold in a salad. I thought their crab meat would be great as well. I could not have made a bigger mistake in my assumption. If my eyes were closed I could not have the slighted idea what was in my mouth. I do not think anyone would disagree with me. Save your money or buy something else.

I used it to make Thai crab omelette. Taste good but not a very strong typical crab flavor that I was looking for. However, definitely a good convenient option for seafood protein without the mess. Will benefit those who wants to diversify their protein in a healthy diet. Good quality jd ingredient

Altough it says 'salt' in the ingredients, I would say this product is unseasoned for any practical purposes or meaning. Nothing bad about it, just beware you need to season it youself at least with a salt for taste.It contains some hard and unchewable pieces (fins?) which is both bad and good:Good - it means that it's real meat.Bad - I don't like to encounter hard unchewable pieces in my food.It tastes and smells very similar to any other fish.While not a perfect product overall, it is still one of the cleanest and healthiest products you can find, and for that the product deserves a high score in my book.
We purchased this Crown Prince Fancy White Lump Crab Meat for something different as a snack on crackers, on our salads, or sandwich. It’s exellent with mayo, spices, and celery on crackers, and to make a crab salad sandwich. It’s good on Naan bread, or with some butter and bread crumbs on a steak. It makes great crab cakes with panko bread crumbs and crumbled crackers, finely chopped celery and onions, and spices with a caper lemon wine butter sauce. Yummy!
this crabmeat brand is excellent and fresh tasting. you can actually see bits & pieces of crab--not some slush floating in murky water like some other brands; no waste, not packed in volumes of water, just enough keep moist.
