Crucial CT2K32G48C40U5 64GB (2x32GB) DDR5 UDIMM 4800MHz CL40 Desktop PC Memory
Faster load times and file transfersCrucial DDR5 Desktop Memory can empower your computer to transfer 50% more data than DDR4 at launch, resulting in faster load times, file transfers, downloads, refresh rates and less lag time. Due to higher bus efficiency, DDR5 technology is not just faster than the previous generation, its better. More responsive multitaskingCrucial DDR5 offers 50% faster speeds than DDR4 at launch, empowering users with extreme performance right out of the box. Even more impressive, Crucial DDR5 is optimized for enhanced performance and multitasking, not just during testing, but in real-world conditions. Opening more browser tabs and switching between apps now feels more responsive than ever. Extreme innovation for stable performanceCrucial DDR5 takes an extreme step forward in engineering over the previous generation with two independent 32-bit channels per module for optimized performance. Designed with on-die ECC (ODECC) at the component level for long-term stability, Crucial DDR5 is engineered to maintain the same reliability as the previous generation, even with the rigorous demands of next-gen computing. Optimized power efficiency For improved efficiency and stability, Crucial DDR5 introduces on-module voltage regulation with a power management integrated circuit (PMIC), which was on the motherboard with older memory technologies. This results in improved signaling and cleaner power for the modules (DIMMs). Moreover, DDR5s on-module operating voltage is only 1.1V compared to DDR4s 1.2V.

When I purchased this on launch day it was $439 for the 64 GB (2x32GB DIMMs). This was a great price for 64 GB of RAM. And I wanted to make sure I got enough to suit my needs for years to come. I am currently using 24 GB of the 64GB. So I am glad I got 64GB.

As a photographer editing high-resolution photos, I needed more RAM for fast photo editing. The Crucial RAM fit the bill perfectly on my Dell XPS 8950.

I installed two packs of this RAM for my rendering and architectural work. This has been stable, reliable, and a good value.

I put together a Asus PRIME-A 12th gen system using DDR 5. My first memory choice was 32gb (2x16gb) of XPG Adata. I had clearance issues with the height and bought this crucial which was perfect for height with a large CPU fan in the way.But note: Neither sets of ram ran a full frequency or XMP on this motherboard. Even with a firmware/bios update, the Asus prime motherboard (and apparently this is common on many others) is flaky with super high frequency RAM. The Adata ram I tried was 5200 mhz and I got it to run at manually setting 4000 which is only slightly higher than Intel's base ram spec of 3600. This ram basically was the same, stable only at 4000; anything higher would cause POST failures. This is after trying the 2 XMP profiles in the chip, both failed. ... MoreI put together a Asus PRIME-A 12th gen system using DDR 5. My first memory choice was 32gb (2x16gb) of XPG Adata. I could spend some time tweaking voltage and other values manually to try and get better, but I gave up and am living with 4000mhz. This is NOT an issue with the memory -- this is a limitation of the motherboard manufacturers and ram manufacturers trying to push to 6000+ and the copper traces on the MB just aren't up to the task depending on your motherboard and memory configuration. I'm not OC my rig and it's a mid range system (3060ti) with more use as software development rig, so I'm still happy. And the crucial price was excellent. I can highly recommend this ram, no need for fancy RGB or heatspreaders.

I am using this ram because I am a long time fan of Crucial ram for years and years. This ram is not OC'ed and is running stable. XMP is enabled in BIOS. I did not like the RGB bling so was grateful Crucial keeps it old school for some of us who dont need all that. Also. with the CPU cooler being as fat as it is, the low profile of this ram is a much needed thing.
As my cameras become higher resolution and file sizes increase, I needed more RAM. This does the trick nicely!
Perfectly competent memory. If your main criteria are "is dd5" and "is in stock" this is for you! Though that latter point might not hold up as we see how the DDR5 supply chain is. But looking at launch inventory, Crucial DDR5 was notably plentiful compared to others. It's pretty much the opposite of flashy, and it's marginally slower than some other DDR5 that is (technically) on the market. But for 2x32GB DIMMS, it was only $80 more than 2x16GB DIMMS of the speedier RGB memory.
I purchased this for i9-12900K on a Gigabyte Master Z690. This RAM runs perfect at DDR5-4800 @ JEDEC 1.1v. I hope to run it at same voltage 1.1v @ 5200 at corresponding timings when a timings list becomes available.
Like any other digital component, it either works as expected or does not work at all. This works as expected.
Needed the new DDR5 chips for anMSI MEG Z690I UNIFY LGA 1700 Mini-ITX Motherboard fitted with an Intel i9-12900 2.4GHz CPU.I used the maximum 64GB supported by the chipset.Everything booted first time!
