They usually come with a 3 Year limited warrantee, although some of the slightly higher priced ones come with a 5 Year Limited warrantee. I used to always buy Seagate SSD as they are well known but have found these work just as well. It was an unknown brand to me a few years ago, they are all plastic which makes them very light but still fit for purpose. I would definitely recommend this product especially if the budget is limited.

I have 2 of the BX500 1 TB SSD's, that have run faultlessly for me over several years, so when I decided to give a Core i5 PC I use as a CCTV and webserver, a long overdue speed boost, it was a no brainer to replace it's mechanical hard disk with a BX500 500GB SSD. Installing Linux on the new SSD took barely 10 minutes, and the PC was fully configured and ready to start serving less than 20 minutes after that - brilliant. Recommended for anyone experiencing slow boot times or slow load/save ops on older PC's with SATA 3 or 6 Gbps.

I brought this SSD as an upgrade for a very slow desktop machine that still had an old hard spinning drive installed.It was taking over 5 minutes to boot (the hard drive was constantly running at 100%).This made it very frustrating to use as an everyday computer.After installation, the machine ran very fast with just 7 seconds from power on to fully logged in and ready to use.It is literally like a Rocketship now.This upgrade has extended the life of this PC and my mother-in-law couldn't be happier.Would not hesitate to recommend this as good value with excellent performance.

Was given an old Toshiba laptop whose HDD was on its way out. Was taking 4 minutes to boot to Windows and running extremely slowly. Have put Crucial SSDs into a number of laptops and desktop before and they get transformed. Had a bit of trouble cling OS using the crucial software but I think this was due to poor state of HDD. Ended up using DiskGenius (free) this worked well. Laptop now boots to Windows 10 in about 20sec and runs like a new one. Good value for money anf for what this device will be used for I think the BX500 as opposed to MX500 will be fine.

This SSD rive is very economy with the promotion price. I bought it for upgrading an old computer and it makes the compute faster after replace a 3.5" HDD with this SSD drive. The speed is okay in comparing with my old Samsung 860 SSD on another computer. The only downside is that the warranty period is 3-year but not 5-year. But it is not an issue at all for its price.

I went to upgrade one of my new ex lease laptops to a SSD drive and expected to pay about $100 based on previous purchases. Was super happy to be offered this product for this price. Bought 3 instead of 1, and upgraded the whole fleet. No issues from any of them after 1 month, and I'm rapt with the faster start times and file handling speeds so vastly improved at such affordable price. Recommended.

I brought this product for an annoyingly slow PC, it does run good when it eventually gets started, now after the addition of this product it only takes a minute to boot up, and is much quicker between windows. If you have a computer that could use a turbo boost, I highly recommend this SSD from Crucial, great price and performance. I brought mine online, as we don't have a Pbtech here, it was quick and easy to get what I needed. Thanks.

Review of Crucial BX500 500GB SATA 2.5 SSD

Good Points: Like most SSD's easy to install, uses Acronis imaging software which I'd never used before. Allowed me to up capacity on my boot disk and now I also have an operational disk back up. Winner all round.Improvement Points: Got a slight glitch booting up which I need to correct but this is an irritation with the disk id on my system. Works fine when pointed in the right direction.
