Crucial CT500BX500SSD1 BX500 500GB 2.5" SATA SSD

I have 2 of the BX500 1 TB SSD's, that have run faultlessly for me over several years, so when I decided to give a Core i5 PC I use as a CCTV and webserver, a long overdue speed boost, it was a no brainer to replace it's mechanical hard disk with a BX500 500GB SSD. Installing Linux on the new SSD took barely 10 minutes, and the PC was fully configured and ready to start serving less than 20 minutes after that - brilliant. Recommended for anyone experiencing slow boot times or slow load/save ops on older PC's with SATA 3 or 6 Gbps.

I was close to throwing out an old but good quality laptop because it had become so slow. I purchased a 500GB Crucial SSD and replaced the existing HDD. Voila , massive difference in boot speed and everything else. The laptop did not go as fast as it does now even when new. I totally recommend this product and am extremely happy with the purchase.

Good price and speed. My mother's laptop was painfully slow, I considered it unusable. Put one of these in it with a new windows install, and its like a brand new laptop, for a fraction of the cost!

The drive was installed in a legacy XP scada system. What difference trending data over time. Almost instantly onscreen. Recommend any one fits one.

I went to upgrade one of my new ex lease laptops to a SSD drive and expected to pay about $100 based on previous purchases. Was super happy to be offered this product for this price. Bought 3 instead of 1, and upgraded the whole fleet. No issues from any of them after 1 month, and I'm rapt with the faster start times and file handling speeds so vastly improved at such affordable price. Recommended.

Drive installation was easy with the separately purchased mounting bracket. Performance appears to have improved and machine appears more responsive. As I run Ubuntu I already perform better than Win 10/11. A good cost effective purchase

I've bought these products a few times already, and they never failed to meet my expectations. Boot OS very fast. I've never checked the read/write rates, but I believe they are nearly there if not exceed the rates.

Not bad

I have used a few of these and are good drives but seem slower than the Samsung EVO's. Of course nowhere near the prices of the Samsung's hence the speed. Good for backups.
