overall i love this insulated tube for the hydration packs. i am a big skiier and use it almost every day i go skiing so i can stay hydrated. it works well in preventing the water from freezing in the tube, however the water still freezes in the mouthpiece. i am sometimes able to chew the ice until it breaks up and can then get water flowing again, but i do wish there was an insulated part for the mouthpiece

Is good for cold climates. Keeps water from freezing in tube when I’m skiing with my camelback. Is somewhat difficult to put on water pack.

I bought this insulated straw because I was tired of that first sip being warm as p***. I use this while dirt biking and mountain biking. It’s not as warm as it was, but it’s still warmer than the iced water from the bladder. Bonus is, the straw is more protected….

Keeps the water colder in the tube than in the bladder! Highly recommend getting the insulated tube cover for any hikes, but especially longer ones.
I ordered this product to insulate my water tube when venturing into colder temperatures. I was disappointed when this product arrived and did not have insulation around the normal tube.
purchased this part to deal with hot and cold weather riding to improve water quality in that first sip. Works great and even with the cover on the magnetic retainer still fits! Love it and it fits the quick release perfectly too. Replaces the stock version the dog chewed!
The new tube came with a different connection than I had for my original camelbak. That is not camelbak's fault I probably should have contacted them to make sure all would fit corrrectly. I jimmy rigged it, cut the new hose and used a hose clamp to connect to original camelbak. The hose I bought I believe it said you could adjust it to fit it next to your mouth, my hose is quite long, so will not allow to adjust, or does not have that capability. It is insulated and a larger diameter so easier drinking and has not froze in the line only at the mouthpiece. I also like the on/off by the mouthpiece.
Very good. Excellent. I used it today on Saturday March 25th, 2023, on my back country snowshoe hike at Okemo Mountain in Ludlow, Vermont. It worked well. It did its job. Water in the tube didn't freeze up. I was able to drink from it. No problem at all. Great craftsmanship.
I have not got to use this insulated tube since I bought it, however, I know that it will allow me to use my camelbak system in temperatures below freezing. I’ll review again next winter when I take it to temperatures closer to zero.
This works!! I’ve been winter hiking with an uninsulated tube and had the line freeze even though I blew out the water after drinking. That makes for a tough day on the trails. This hose didn’t freeze and I was able to drink whenever I wanted. Yay!
