Rusted upon arrival, and I had already oiled as "per" instruction of seller who had only detailed instructions after the fact since disputing order. No manual or instruction included with product and no instruction added in details of product to mantain wok. Expensive tip item with dispondant seller unwilling to refund.

This is a very good wok. It's the right thickness, and the size of the flat surface is just what you want. The negative reviews were clearly written by people who hadn't read up on how to use a carbon steel wok. Before using it, you have to scrub off the manufacturer's sealant and use oil over high heat to give it a polymerised protective coating. What a shame that some people apparently threw out a perfectly good wok just because they didn't do their research.

Ignore the negative reviews as the one with the picture shows an unseasoned wok, they have not looked into how you season a carbon steel wok before using. The wok should turn black if done correctly, and you will not get rust as long as you dry it correctly also. Best to use heat to dry and let it cool before storing.But seriously look up how to season carbon steel before first use and you won't have any issues of rust etc. It's the same for cast iron pans etc also.

This Wok rusted, both inside and out after only one use. I didn't use anything acidic in pan, and I dried the Wok with a tea-towl after cleaning. It really is baffling how something could rust so quickly.Do not purchase this Wok use you want a rusty Pan.
I am accustomed to seasoning pans and stainless steel. However, this coated itself in rust just sitting next to my sink. To clarify: this isn't a humid area. I tossed it after only using it once.
