Purchased a Cuisinart Advantage(R) Plus hand mixer about a year and a half ago. Worked perfectly. While making frosting for my granddaughters birthday, it suddenly wasn’t working. Found paperwork where I had registered it when I purchased product. Called number listed. Followed their instructions. Within a week, I received a brand new updated hand held Cuisinart mixer! This company totally backs their product. I am very satisfied with the product and the company. Cuisinart is number one in my book.

A beater broke on my older Cuisinart hand mixer and replacements were no longer available, so I had to get a new mixer and chose this model as the closest equivalent. On the plus side, it's powerful, comfortable to use and not too heavy. On the minus side, the self-described slow-start feature doesn't start at low speed; it starts at a high speed and then drops down after a few seconds. Thanks to many previous reviewers mentioning this, I didn't expect it to actually start slowly (which my older Cuisinart mixer did) and avoided a mess. I would suggest using this mixer in a deep mixing bowl, so spatters coming off the beaters will hit the sides of the bowl and not the kitchen walls. I haven't used the dough hooks. The plastic storage case seems pointless to me; the cord doesn't fit well if the tools are in there (and I don't even see the cord in the photo), the mixer doesn't snap on and off easily, and the combined unit is quite tall. I'm generally satisfied with this purchase, but might choose a different model if I had to replace it.

This mixer replaced my 20 year old Hamilton Beach that finally gave out. I did a bit of research based on reviews, and the information from America’s Test Kitchen, I settled on the Cuisinart. So far, so good. The lowest speed starts out slow and doesn’t cause spatter, and it has the capacity to do jobs without having to pull out my Kitchenaid. The way the beaters are designed, they don’t get weighted down with the dough or mix. I also appreciate the storage of the beaters and the cord. This is great mixer and would recommend it.

I previously had another brand of hand mixer for several yrs and was very frustrated whenever I used it. It had no setting low enough to start blending/mixing slowly. So I rarely used it. When I saw the Cuisinart 9 speed with storage case I had to try it. I was absolutely sold on it the first time I used it! The low-med-hi speeds are wonderful and the storage case it so convenient! A great mixer for quick uses when it is not convenient to set up the stand mixer. I highly recommend the Cuisinart.
I chose this mixer because of the container to hold the cord and attachments that attaches to the container. Very convenient. However, difficult to fit all the attachments and cord in and then attach to the mixer. I was also suprised that the 2 mixer attachments are not interchangable (which I did NOT see in the instruction manual). They are slightly different at the attachment end, and one only goes in the right side, one in the left. Very odd. I'm also annoyed at Macy's. I ordered on "Black Friday" when there was a promotion of a gift with purchase. Almost a month later and the gift never came.
This is a nifty little mixer. It is easy to use. Many complain about the noise when using. However compared to my old hand mixer the noise level is appropriate for the job it has to do. There is a lot of versatility in the multi speed arrangement. I also like the fact that it has its own storage container. It takes some initial fiddling to get the hang of the best way to store the various mixing tool (and that fact is a negative), but once you learn the sequence, everything fits in place. Great feature. I won’t ever have need for a full standing mixer again.
This is the second mixer I have gotten in less than six months. The first mixer had a cord that completely frayed at the connection between the mixer and the cord. The raw wire was exposed. They replaced it under warranty. Unfortunately the new one tipped over on my granite counter top the 3rd time I used it and the on/off button (plastic) broke in half. Again, the customer service was excellent and the replaced it, but it was inconvenient to be without it for a couple of weeks. It is not a particularly sturdy mixer but does do the job when it’s operable. The self storage under the mixer is a plus since it is easier to store. It is not an appliance I would recommend, especially when you use it asoften as I do - at least 3-4 times per week. I love this hand mixer. The storage case for all of the accessories instead of taking up space in my drawers is a definite plus. The hand mixer works beautifully. I purchased this replace my over 40 year old Sunbeam that finally died. So far I am enjoying using this mixer. Batter and mixes do not get stuck inside the beaters which is a great big plus in opinion. The mixer is quieter than my old one. Highly recommend this hand mixer.
This is the third hand mixer in 40-yrs. How perfect is this mixer? It is like the second right hand in the kitchen. I use it for everything! I threw out my immersion mixer for cream soups so that I could see what I was doing and how the texture changed, now, I only use my Advantage Power. I use it for mashed potatoes. I cream butter and sugar for baking. I use it to shred beef or pork for salads and sandwiches. I use it for anything I used to beat with a wire whisp by hand. It is my go-to food processor. Thank you for asking. I love this thing.
Have only had my power advantage plus 9 speed mixer for a couple of weeks but have to say I am impressed. I actually chose this hand mixer for to reasons, the brand and the weight of it. Most people want a light weight mixer but I have gone through so many that I wasn't sure what direction to go on my next on. The last one didn't even make it a year and the gears striped out. Tried a Kitchenaid hand mixer a few years ago and spent a pretty penny on it with the same results in a slightly longer period of time. I own and use a Cuisinart food processor which has done everything I ask of it and has held up wonderfully. I am hoping this will prove to be my final choice for hand mixers. I also love the soft start feature and think it will help with the longeviy as well as reducing splatter. Thanks for a great product
