Cuisinart Cool Creations Ice Cream Maker

You know when you buy a kitchen gadget or appliance that’s sort of a novelty item? And it’s almost like getting a treadmill. You wind up not using it and turning it into an extension of your closet?? 🤣 NOT THIS!! This is OUTSTANDING and makes unbelievable ice cream, gelato and sorbet. I’ve tried all three and honestly, I’m not even a big ice cream person (I like cake 😁). This is so easy and so much fun to use as a family. You can add any toppings and customize your own ice cream! This comes with a TON of recipes too. It helps if you have a blender (although not required) just to make it easier because you do have to pre-mix the ingredients. The buttons to press are easy and straightforward. Just choose what you’re making and select the time and that’s it! This does come with a very large tub (which is not shown in the picture) that you keep in the freezer and take out when you’re ready to use. This churns the ingredients and freezes the ice cream. Be prepared because this makes A LOT of ice cream but the best part is you can freeze any leftovers and save it. I suggest if you purchase this, to always keep certain staples on hand like heavy cream, sugar, brown sugar, vanilla extract, etc. This way you won’t have to constantly run out to get them!! Love this!

Best darn chocolate ever!

Made fantastic chocolate ice cream very first try. Froze and broke up some of my wife’s favorite brand of chocolate bar at the very end and stuck the batch in the freezer, mouth watering. Only downside was that the first batch came out over the top as the bottom began to set and the top didn’t. A bit of a mess to clean up. However, that didn’t put my wife off and she said we needed to keep practicing!

Design flaws

Unfortunately the icecream maker has some major design flaws. The lid was not made correctly. As soon as the ice cream gets thick and too high, the lid pops off and ice cream flies everywhere! This happens regardless of whether you make a large or a small batch. It's also very loud and pretty annoying to be in the room with. It's hard to scrape the ice cream out of the container after it's done, so I don't recommend leaving the ice cream in the container for use. Overall, quite disappointed.

Ice cream your way

I bought mine at a discount through Amazon warehouse and it was in perfect condition. Absolutely worth the price. I used my new machine after freezing the bowl for 48 hours and it worked perfectly. I love the automatic nutty for ice cream vs gelato vs sorbet, makes it so easy to work. My ice cream turned out great and the machine turned off as instructed automatically when it was done. Definitely would recommend this ice cream maker to anyone that loves ice cream. Easy to use and easy to clean up. A+

Love mine!

I love it. I’ve been bragging about this ice cream maker because it’s just too good to be true. I love homemade ice cream but with my old ice cream maker it’s just such a hassle and a waste with the bags of ice and ice cream salt and trying to get it done before the summer heat melts it all. The banana nut recipe is wonderful and I’ve gone off the top of my head for a few batches. One batch did not turn out great and it was my fault. I didn’t let the freezer bowl completely freeze again in between batches. You’ll find that creating ice creams can be addictive at first. I felt like a kid again but with magic powers lol. I’ve even made frozen yogurt for my dogs with just yogurt, peanut butter and bananas and it took only 12 minutes for that batch. I brought home a bag ... MoreI love it. The freezer bowl has a permanent place in the freezer and the maker gets to stay on the counter for summer. I can’t believe how easy and mess free this system is. I never want to go back to the old way. I have not made gelato or sorbet yet but I’m sure they’ll be great. It’s so much fun to think up recipe ideas and enjoy homemade ice cream without all the extra ingredients that make me feel like I’m poisoning myself for a treat. If you’re thinking about buying this ice cream maker do it. You’ll be making the right decision!

Then there are other ingredients one must buy, and depending on what ice cream or gelato or other frozen desert you're making, you could spend another $20.00 or more, for each 2-quart batch of the product you're making. If you consider just the price of the machine, a whole lot of ready-made, high-quality ice cream or other frozen desert can be bought for $150.00. For us, it is just not worth the cost and the work that goes into making our own. Having said that, I'm sure the quality of this machine is outstanding, as are all the other Cuisinart products we have owned over the years, perhaps with the exception of their toasters. Wish I bought sooner

Wish I bought sooner. Makes amazing ice cream have total control of ingredients natural organic non gmo good ol fashioned ice cream. Endless recipes possibilities makes gelato and sorbet also. so easy a child can use It my Kids love It a little bit loud but It runs for 25 min we use It weekly. This is a great gift idea includes a recipe booklet easy to clean up

Won’t disappoint

AMAZING- the unit is so easy to use. Froze the container for 24 hours then was able to make 3 batches of ice cream over the next 24 hours. Other reviews stated the unit is noisy but I did not think that was an issue. The ice cream was delicious- the instructions for time was right on track. I had debated about this purchase and I sure wish I had jumped on it sooner because it is so good. I am dairy free due to a health issue and using “my milk” it was so good to have ice cream again. Highly recommend this product.

Worth Every Penny!

This is the first ice cream machine I've purchased and it's been completely worth the money. It's simple to operate, not overly noisy, and takes up a minimal amount of space while in use. We've been making a dangerous amount of ice cream lately and getting rave reviews!I've used it several times now and only have two real complaints. First, the bucket has to be frozen overnight which isn't an issue, but then it only stays cold long enough to properly churn one batch of ice cream. I had two batches ready to be churned for a party, the first batch was perfect. The second went in right after and was still runny after a full cycle.Second, the design of the paddle makes it difficult to clean.Overall, would purchase again!

Would buy again

Easy use, easy clean up. Makes ice cream in 25 min. We highly enjoy our ice cream maker, my son and husband eat ice cream almost daily and I couldn’t find an ice cream on the market without gum additives.now we make it with out. we use this 1 or 2 times a week. It’s tad noisy but it not bad for how quick it makes 2 quarts of ice cream.We have made vanilla and mint ice cream. Love the taste and and texture of this homemade ice cream. And I like knowing exactly with is in it! Highly recommend.
