I did a lot of checking around before selecting the Cuisinart knife because I had never heard of an electric carving knife, batteries yes but not a plug in. It was a special request for Christmas from my partner who complained how a regular knife just shredded a turkey and he is into doing things neatly. I finally picked the Cuisinart because of the ergonomic handle, its compact size and a brand I recognized. And it was a perfect pick; It really did do a great job on smoothly slicing the turkey. Everyone was happy. Thank you for your good selection of such knives and for your fast delivery.

The ‘Cuisinart’ name pre-sold me on this knife. I received it on time and in excellent condition. The first thing was to take it out of the box, read the instructions (Yes, ladies, there are men who read instructions AND ask for directions) and then assembled the knife. The next thing was to make sure it worked, so I plugged it in and switched it on. I liked the feel of the knife (balanced and not tooheavy).Next I tested it. I sliced bread, luncheon meat and chicken (I’ll be testing it next week on a turkey). It worked just like the video showed.Cleaning afterwards was quick and easy using just soapy water (a damp towel cleaned the body very nicely).I went with the ‘knife-only’ option because I already have too many carving forks and never leave my ... MoreThe ‘Cuisinart’ name pre-sold me on this knife. Good quality, reputable brand, works well, easy to clean, but a little too pricy. So, I bought this item factory refurbished at a discount. No mechanical issues. Storing the cord, you have to wind it in hand and stuff near the bottom, doesn't really hold the cord firmly however, the storage design is clumsy in that respect. Also, would prefer a plastic cover included for the stand to keep device dust free on counter. The pressure feature sounds cool, but I don't know that I use it really. I like the two sets of blades, one for carving, one for bread. Easy push on blade installation with button release, as you'd expect. Overall, pleased with purchase. Seemed the best carving/bread knife for the price, based on reviews, and a year of use now I'm still happy.

We had started buying Cuisinart kitchen appliances, pots and pans, etc. about 8 years ago. This electric knife is the first Cuisinart knife we’ve ever had and are extremely happy with the overall quality and easy usage! I have to say neither of us were surprised with the performance of this knife, as we own several Cuisinart kitchen items and love each one of them. This review, however, is the first of its kind from me. Totally hooked on Cuisinart; they’ve never disappointed us!
I bought the first one - did not work. Had to continually push the 'on' button; then when cutting roast, it stopped. Returned for a full refund, since I had not used the Crazy Card Deal, yet. Ordered another - waiting to receive.
This was a great purchase—not only because of the great deal but because ours a great knife! Our old one died. I bought a different brand and it was garbage. I actually bought a second one to give as a gift!
My knife just failed. The motor runs but the blades no longer move - very disappointed. I have only used this knife 5 times. The cover is assembled with tamper proof screws so there is no way to take it apart and have a look at what is wrong.
I bought this to replace a 20 year old electric knife that still worked, but the knives seemed a bit dull. This isn't any better than my 20 year old knife as far as design. The blades are new and sharper, but that's it. It's hard to hold down the button to keep the knife on with my thumb. I usually cut four loaves of bread with my electric knife once a week. After just cutting one loaf with this knife, the handle was getting noticeably warm. By the time I finished the second loaf, my hand and thumb needed a break. I waited 15 minutes and finished the other two loaves. By the end, my wrist hurt and the handle was hot.Really not impressed with this knife. Will be sending it back and will just buy a regular non-electric bread knife.
The lack of instructions on how to properly and safely use this knife, was shocking. They kept referring to the blade when it was two different pieces of metal. Two different blades that I had no idea how to fit them in had no idea how they moved. I have never used an electric knife before. I have had instructions that were more clearly delineated For things that could not possibly hurt me. And yet for something as dangerous as an electric knife, your instructions were pitiful. So disappointed.
Bought this for my husband for Christmas. We tried using it today but it kept popping the outlet. We switched outlets and again once we turned on the knife it popped the outlet. I thought Cuisinart was a good brand. This knife cant be drawing that much electricity to pop the outlet. I bought my dad one too, hope it doesn't happen to him.
