So very disappointed with this item. ALL photos indicate that the top has adjustable height. These are the photos on the Myer site, the Cuisinart site, the box, the warranty and information swing tag on the item. Beware. Is a press. the top is not height adjustable. Cuisinart did not care. They said the photos are to show the food, not indicate what the product can do! Quite deceptive I think. MYER were great the purchase and with the return - no complaints about Myer apart from selling a product that is not as shown it its promotional photos.

After cooking sausages in the deep pan they stuck. It took five minutes to clean as I did not want to scratch it. Also no warranty card that I could see. Not sure how robust the push buttons are. I think after a while they mightn’t stand up. Also very large box to send back. Why couldn’t they work it for a smaller box and awkward to get out. The handles are separate to the tray so I could see them being lost. It would also take up a fair amount of space. The heat up time took a while but the display clear. Will be returning. Think carefully before you buy large items

I have a much earlier version with the griddle plates and flat plates (no deep pan). The appliance still works well after many years but the lights on the front are barely visible and faded out after a year or so. I'd love for them to bring back the version with the waffle plates (waffle, flat and griddle). I don't see the point in the deep pan version. Everyone has saucepans and baking dishes so a deep pan offers nothing new. If they bring back te waffle version I'll update the one I have and hope that they've improved the lights.

So far we've used this for grilling chicken and vegetables, bacon & eggs, pancakes, toasted sandwiches, crumpets & waffles. It's cooked everything to perfection and cleans up easily, even after grilling with sticky marinades.As with all cooking devices there is a little trial and error with temperature and cook times to cook things to your personal preferences but this device is so simple to use/adjust that it doesn't take long to perfect your cooking.We love that the top can pivot to adjust to the thickness of whatever we're cooking so as not to squash it, but can also be fixed in place if preferred.
We have been experimenting with the different plates. They are easy to remove for cleaning and easily interchanged. We made pizza in the deep dish as advertised! I wish it had a mechanism to lock the lid together, and also to keep it open at a set height when using as a press/grill as it can flatten sandwiches or stick to the top of an open melt.
Single guy living in a warm climate. The griddler minimises heat in my apartment in Brisbane. It allows me to create particular meals of a size to suit me. And everything necessary goes into the dishwasher. If you are going to buy a griddler, get the deep pan as well. Brilliant addition.
I have had an earlier version of this griddle and it worked perfectly. Although I am happy with the new unit it does occasionally refuse to start. Not sure if this is a little bug with my particular model. However, the results when used are perfect.
I make toasties, cook chicken, meats , eggs & grilled veggies. Great little unit . Used it outside like a barbecue on the table and everyone cooked their own meat the way they liked it . You do need to wait for it to initially reach the required temperature (I have no problem with the wait). Big enough for the 4 people you can double the size by opening it up. I have vegetarians in my family so we have used one side for meat the other for veggies. which is great. I haven't used the deep dish as yet but am eager to try it soon. It is also very easy to clean with the removable plates.
I bought this wondering if I would get the use out of it. Turns out I use it all the time (outdoors) and have not used the stinky gas bbq since. Gets well hot enough 230 degrees to sear meat properly. Takes a while to get up to temp though. Big enough surface for two people. Easy clean, intuitive to use and well designed.
Fantastic Christmas present to myself, and bought a second one for my son. Easy to operate, easy to clean, fabulous compact yet sturdy design. No flip-floppy bits. Certainly worthy of its Cuisine Art branding. Couldn’t recommend it more highly - fabulous. PS I don’t like cooking.
