I bought this to make a white zinfindel sorbet to serve with champagne for a girlfriend's birthday. WOW! The results were exceptionally delicious and elegant. Friends are now requesting custom frozen desserts. I've made Frosé, fresh peach ice-cream, vanilla bean ice-cream, amaretto custard ice-cream and am looking forward to endless options. The machine is drop dead easy to use and has completely exceeded my expectations.

I’ve never own an ice cream maker, saw this one and loved it and wanted to try. Got it this week and made vanilla ice cream on Friday. There is no recipe books in the box so you have to go download the book and warranty paperwork or just look up any ice cream you want to make and get recipes. Love the Crusiart brand so I knew I would not regret my purchase.

I got off to a rocky start. First, there are no recipes included in the box. Google cuidinart ice cream maker recipes and you’re good. Second, and this was the hardest. It took me about 15 minutes to stop the top from popping off as soon as turning on. I really don’t know what I did right. Again there’s nothing in the box. Just a picture of what goes on the base first, second etc. Made the first batch. Google directions say 25-30 minutes. It took 15. Keep looking at it so it doesn’t over churn. No, the paddle isn’t supposed to turn (googled) It scraps the sides. Only the bowl turns. Overall, a good product. Better instructions would be appreciated by all. Actually any instructions because there are none. That’s my only complaint.

Very easy to use. Makes quick work of ice cream, frozen yogurt and sorbets. Soft serve or a firm scoop! Cuisinart is a brand that continues to deliver. The only draw back is having to refreeze the bowl and wait to make more!
I love how easy it is to use it. The drawbacks is the opening in the top is a pain . I’m sure it’s for safety but there isn’t much danger here and we are adults. I’d also preferred a few more recipes included in the booklet. Everything else was just easy. Freeze bowl well overnight and dump in ingredients as per recipe, but DONT over fill. 3 cups liquid max. It expands as it mixes and you may add fruit or other. Then scoop out quickly!!
Absolutely love it! Very short learning curve, which is a plus for impatient people. When the cycle completes the ice cream is the consistency of soft serve, which is fine. So far I've made chocolate, chocolate chip and nectarine ice cream. I've got 2 lbs of crushed strawberries ready to make tonight's.
This ice cream freezer is so handy to use and gives me the option of easily making healthy frozen desserts - healthier than the non-organic dairy free commercial brands so readily available nowadays.I think having the machine running as the blended ingredients are poured into the opening at the top may help keep the hard frozen "wall" that lines the container from becoming too thick. Nonetheless the layer that forms does not go to waste - there are plenty of volunteers willing to clean it out.We are very happy with the purchase - wish we had bought one years ago.
Right after freezing the bowl overnight we easily made delicious vanilla ice cream with our grandchildren. After considering all the questionable ingredients of even premium store-bought ice cream we wanted better. Milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla is all we needed for the best tasting ice cream. The kids LOVED it, and so did we. I definitely recommend this product.
I had an ice-cream maker from Amazon that I bought years ago and couldn't find the instructions, and Amazon could not give them to me bcz they had discontinued the product--and no wonder...when I plugged it in (which I never had), it didn't even work, and I couldn't return it bcz I bought it 2 years ago! I immediately went to Walmart's website, found the Cuisinart maker and it works great --AND has understandable instructions!! Lucky me.
My frozen yogurt came out perfect ! Was very impressed with how quick and efficient the process . Make sure you follow the instructions to include all your ingredients in after you have the frozen bowl and paddle in place . I made the mistake of putting in the ingredients beforehand and all the ingredients stuck to the sides of the frozen bowl not allowing the paddle to fit inside the bowl.
