Seems like a great idea: Upright… but actually it is very hard to tell when it is fully filled up.At the Fill Spout it doesn’t not fully done, what you can see on the photo has been doctored.So you have to fill up even the fill spout to make sure it is full, but the batter in there does not get done well and so later to cut it off.The measuring cup has a awkward shape, the batter flows and drips down from the outsides all over onto the back mainly and everywhere.Otherwise the waffle can be done well, on #3 setting. On #4 it was a bit burned in my view.I would not buy a standing one again, but can still make good waffles if one does not mind the mess.

First time waffle maker. Thought would take some trial and error. OMG. Amazing. Best waffles ever. Made Buttery Belgian Waffles, left out the sugar. They were a hit. Froze a couple and just as good out of the freezer a few days later. Very pleased with this purchase. Waffles are now my new pancakes. So easy, quick and with minimal fuss and mess.💯 recommend.

I considered several other brands and styles before choosing this model. It is solidly constructed and because of it's vertical format has a small footprint on the bench in my small kitchen. The machine is filled with batter through the slot at the top, and there is no risk of over or under filling. It beeps and a grreen light indicate when the machine has reached cooking temperature or when the waffle is cooked. The deep design of the hot surfaces means that the waffle is tender inside and crisp outside. The non-stick surface needs no cleaning. I'm a very happy purchaser of the Cuisinart Vertical Waffle Maker.

This is the first waffle maker that I have owned. The upright design is great, no mess or spills and doesn't leak everywhere. Use the provided measuring cup and you won't have any problems with putting too much mixture into the waffle maker. So far I have made the buttermilk waffles. The waffles themselves are ok. On setting 3 they are a nice golden brown but they are not crunchy. More like a pancake in the shape of a waffle. On settings 4 and 5 the waffles come out burnt, but still not crunchy. This is a bit disappointing, but overall a good product.
Love this waffle maker! Bought it for gluten free waffles. The waffles are big and crispy. Clean up is easy though sometimes it sticks to the very top where you pour it in. Look up glutenfreeonashoestring for great gluten free recipes- I ended up throwing everything in the thermomix after trying the egg white whipped version and still came out delicious and crispy.
This waffle maker is so easy to use. I did my research before buying and chose this one for many reasons. One of which it doesn't take up much bench/cupboard space and can be stored upright. I just keep this on my kitchen bench for now because we use it so often. Use the measuring cup to fill the right amount of batter so it doesn't overflow. I don't mind if I occasionally put a little too much as I can eat the excess. Waffles come out so light and fluffy and you can adjust how dark you want them cooked. Comes with lots of recipes. I don't know how I survived this long without a waffle maker! Great alternative to pancakes and toast! The kids love it too.
Love my vertical waffle maker. So easy to use and easy to clean and no mess. Waffles come out so fluffy and light. I keep mine on setting number 3. Highly recommend this. Experimenting with different toppings and my first cuisineart purchase. Very happy !
The quality of this product and design is very good. I used the provided recipes but found the batter was way too thick and quantity suggested only filled up half the waffle maker. A few trials and errors and I've learned to add more liquid to the ingredients to get it right. Freezing left over waffles has worked a treat as well.
I bought 4 of them. 1 each for my neighbours, my daughter and myself. My daughter made her mother-in-law so jealous as she brought along her own. There was no comparison at all between them and my daughter is celiac and just adores the quality of them making them gluten free. My neighter couldn't waite to use it and came in with a cooked one covered in compote and a scoop of ice-cream. With that I used it and it's so so good! I conducted a lot of research before buying it and found in that Australia it's was best one available. The measuring cap makes all the difference. Nothing wasted and the machine is easy to clean. It stays on my bench top. Great addition to my kitchen. Certainly made a fabulous gift all round.
So the biggest thing for me was the non stick properties as the last thing I wanted was to have issues with cleaning it. Definitely fulfilled that! I have tried a few recipes from the booklet provided and they have turned out pretty good and I can lift them out of the waffle maker very easily. I have also tried a Chaffle (keto) recipe (I did however spray the iron lightly just to be safe) and that turned out great too! Only thing is if you are worried about making perfect pancakes is to make sure that there are no lumps in the batter otherwise it doesn’t fill up properly and you won’t have the perfect pancake but that doesn’t concern me. Overall great product!
