Locking mechanism is great! However, the heads are pretty stiff/inflexible, and can scratch up your non-stick cookware (they're more like hard plastic than the softer silicone that I was expecting). Would happily use these on my metal or cast iron pans, etc., but I'm avoiding them with my non-stick items as they will scratch them.

I've tried several tongs for non-stick pans and been disappointed with all of them as they are so difficult to turn food with / to open and close, including another pricey one from Lakeland. This one is definitely the best I've tried and I'm very happy with it.

Used with gas barbecue (not near naked flame). Like locking mechanism as space is a premium. Easy to use and clean.

I am very pleased with these tongs. They are so precise. Rubber type ones I have had before did not always seem to meet together so picking things up with them has been hit and miss. These have been in use for a few weks and now, no damage to the silicone and are very worth the money.
We have given theses tongs a lots of use. No complaints and great on high heat. We have had ours for years and still going.

Came home after nearly three months in hospital to find equipment had been disposed of - think the family didn't think I would come home! Needed tongs to remove hot cooking from Airfryer to place on plate. These are, in fact, better than my old ones; I love the fitting that opens and closes them . . . . No more burnt hands and arms or throwing very hot bread rolls from hand to hand!!!

Best tongs ever ( this is my second pair) they are just the right length and so easy to use then pop in the dishwasher and ready for next time
I use these tongs all the time for grilling sausages, turning steaks. Also useful for picking up bits and pieces in stir fry or roasts. My best gadget.
