Cyclonic Vacuum Cleaner Black & Decker PD1200AV

Don't waste your money. It's a shame that this vacuum has the Black & Decker name to it. It simply does not live up to what B&D standards in vacuums are normally at. The suction of this car vacuum will make you look for the nearest power point to plug in a more powerful vacuum to suck up the stuff this leaves behind.

Compact and good car vacuum

This is my second B&D car vacuum, one older model and this one, both good size for boot, only things dislike versus older version is switch, the switch needs to slide through the handle, and takes some getting use too, operates and sucks up car kid mess with ease. These are car powered vacuums so dont compare to mains powered vacuums. These work fine when needed. Last annoying thing is the carry bag, this one comes with a mesh type and putting the vacuum and items in is tight, the older model has a black carry bags that zipped around to close and had more than enough space. Good little car Vac.

I stupidly bought this thinking that it was cordless. it isn't. However as far as 12 volt car vacs go it is very good with good suction, long lead and easy to empty. If it had a rechargeable battery it would definitely have got 5 stars !

Hairdryer is better

I was hopeful for this product so I can clean my car inbetween big cleans. I have to ssy it was hugely dusappointing and was no bettwr than a poor hairdryer. I ended up getting my main vacum out. I bought a charger I could plug into thr mains but have not tried it yet. In all a bit of a white elephant. Do not buy.

More powerful than my previous dustbuster and has more accessory tools too. However, the detachable house, although very useful, can't be secured in place properly and hence regularly falls off from the main unit. It only has a couple of tiny plastic lugs at the front and pushes gently in place at the rear which isn't sufficient to secure it; it's a shame as the unit has a proper securing mechanism for the accessory tools but not the hose itself!. Also, when the integrated brush is swiveled over, it's regularly pushed back out of place when in use as it also can't be secured like my old model so isn't really much use! Yes, it's noisy but that's expected and no problem and the battery life is also fine. Great little car hoover. Good suction. Cleaned up dried mud well. Really good length of power cable which stretched right through to the back of my small hatchback. Been looking for something like this for a while but other hoovers were too expensive.

I love my new Black & Decker PD1200AV-XJ handheld vacuum Grey, Orange Bagless. It is lightweight, versatile and very efficient. It gets in the smallest of places and does an excellent job, in fact so much so, the mats in my car have never looked so clean. Getting between the front seats has always been a problem, but with the attachment added, it is easy. Lovely, small but powerful appliance.
