Cygnett app doesn’t work properly - can’t register an account, just get error message. Googled it and seems to be common problem.Connected to Apple home quick and easily so can at least turn it on and off. But without the stupid Cygnett app cannot utilise other functions and see power usage etc.Power point itself is ok but the light on it is so bright it’s a pain.

Very happy with this product. It is simple and quick to set up – 2 minutes after taking it out of the box, we had it set up and running. One of the few smart plugs on the Australian market that works with Apple Homekit. Plus it still has a physical switch on it, so you don't lose the option of just manually turning something on and off with a physical button (which is my annoyance about smart lightbulbs). We have ours set up with a space heater in our bedroom, so we can warm the room up a few minutes before going to bed, and we can then turn it off whilst in bed using our phones or Siri. The heater then turns on 5 minutes before we wake up in the morning for 10 minutes to heat the room up on frosty mornings. I'm using it with HomeKit. It goes offline! Sometimes after few hours, sometime after few days. Then I need to unplug it and plug back to make it work again. This is not acceptable. What's the point of having this plug if I still need to plug it manually? I though maybe I need a software update, but then I saw reviews from others having exactly the same issue! Also when it works it still has a big fault: if it was on when the power was interrupted, it will come back online off when the power is restored. It's useless for any critical appliances that need to be always on unless I want to disconnect them. I use other brand of similar device that has none of these problems. Never disconnected itself, comes back on if it was on...

This product is absolutely amazing, it's just like a normal plug however I can control my plugged-in lamps with my Homepod Mini and Phone, it even tells me how much electricity I am using and the times I can schedule it. The only improvement I would like to give is, maybe make the product not so big as if I plug it in the wall outlet it's body size makes it really difficult to plug another one in on the 2nd plug next to it.
We have 14 Smart Wi-Fi Plugs in operation in our home turning on lamps, fans, strip lights etc and 2 which have been of great importance to me because of a fall injury sustained early on this year. In my bedroom the 2 Smart Plugs turn on/off my bedside lamp and electric blanket via voice command from Siri using an iPod Mini which sits on the bedside table. Can’t imagine doing without it now. Excellent!
A great value product and very serviceable in current times. The only negative was the WiFi connection which took some time to connect. It was not as straight forward as it could have been. Overall a well designed product that allows the use of the second outlet when used on a double power point.
Excellent product. Works flawlessly. Had some trouble setting up at first because the devices only support the 2.4 GHz wifi band and my home wifi has the same SSID for both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz meaning I couldn't force my phone onto the 2.4 GHz band. The trick I used was to move almost out of range of the wifi because 2.4 GHz has a bigger range. This forced my phone to select 2.4 GHz and find the devices. I have about 10 of these devices throughout my home and once they are setup, they never falter. The integration with Apple Homekit is flawless - more reliable than a number of my other home automation products.
I had been after something that I could use to control the power supply to Television. The Television sits on a cabinet and hard to access the power point. I have a power board connected to the Smart Wi-Fi Plug with Power Monitoring. It supples the TV, Sound Bar, Foxtel, Blue-Ray Player and Apple TV. Its great, I can monitor the power used at any time and can turn it on/off at the push of a button. Could not have done it before, I would have to pull the TV cabinet out from the wall each time. Great product to purchase. Have 3 so far.
This is my second Cygnett smartplug. Cygnett is one of the few manufacturers of Apple compatible smart devices. There are multiple ways you can use this smartplug e.g. controlling your devices, remote access, watch your appliances power usage and creating schedules and automations. I am very happy with the purchase and find it very useful and efficient. However, if controlling your lights is all you want to do, I suggest purchasing Cygnett's smartbulbs.
The highlight of this product is the Siri/HomeKit integration. This worked perfectly without any glitches, and I was controlling it using Siri within minutes. However, my biggest gripe with this is that the Cygnett app does not work on iOS and will not pair with the device. The app is the only way to use the power monitoring function. In the end, temporarily turning off the 5GHz WiFi allowed the Android app to pair, and this saved it into the online account which let the iOS app see it.The device seems to be of a good build quality, and is at a great price point. HomeKit integration is excellent. However, it's let down by a poorly built app.
