Cygnett VentView Universal Air Vent Car Mount (CY1217ACVVU)

I bought this because I didn't want a highly visible mount. The first one broke after about 2 months. The part that wraps around the phone on the spring broke. It no longer clamped onto the phone & was useless.I bought another one thinking it was a one off issue. This one lasted about a year & the back of the clamp, the socket art that connects to the ball part of the joint cracked, which meant it swivels all over the place. Sometimes it swiveled off the joint & fell on the floor. The last time it did that the clamp cracked. That's the end of it. Never again.

This is the second one we purchased this year because the first one broke. Its great that it adjusts to the width of the phone but it is too easy to over-extend the width and then the product is useless. It is quite stable and I chose to buy it a second time as it suited my needs. I will just be more careful when loading and unloading my phone.

I bought this cradle 4 years ago, because of the review that mentioned 'It will stay in place over bumpy roads and won't let go of the phone' - and is true!Currently, I have the iPhone 11 Pro max and its a bulky phone. My husband has gone through so many fancy cradles over the years and I finally convinced him to get this one, after his cradle (with the phone attached) went flying as he did a U-turn. He uses it for his Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra (another bulky phone) and is genuinely surprised at how good it is for the price. At least 3 times a week, I'll rotate it to landscape mode and watch Netflix/youtube whilst on break - been doing that for at least 2 years and have never had any issues with the rotation tilting/loosening over time.Works best on the middle ... MoreI bought this cradle 4 years ago, because of the review that mentioned 'It will stay in place over bumpy roads and won't let go of the phone' - and is true!Currently, I have the iPhone 11 Pro max and its a bulky phone.
