I’ve been using these strings for a few years now. They sound great both clean and overdriven. They last longer than other makes I’ve used over the last 50 years or so. And unlike some other well known makes I’ve yet to get a string with tarnish on it straight out of the box. They are good on Fender, Gibson and PRS. I can’t imagine using anything else. If you’ve not tried them yet, give them a go, you won’t regret it.

I’ve been a professional guitarist for more than 20 years and played in many countries including England, USA and the Bahamas. From Gibson Explorers to Clapton Strats, these strings have remained consistently good quality, stayed wonderfully in tune and have lovely tension during string bends. The tone really makes your guitar ‘pop!’ Whether you play Jazz, Funk, Rock, Blues or Reggae, these strings will give you the ammo you need to get the job done.

Been using D`Add`s exclusively now for the past 40 yrs. No other strings can hold their tune, outlast the performance and tone as good as these. There are other great strings out there, but cannot compare in all three categories as these do. Also, it takes a lot for me to break one of these. I am a lead guitar player that bends strings a hell of a lot. When I`m strumming, I strum hard! Can`t remember the last time I changed a set before one broke on me. Very, very important when I was giggin`! By the way, I use this particular set on all of my electrics, .009 -.042 pretty thin!

If you don't play everyday then you won't feel a difference, but it's not the feel that I like about them. I am an ernie ball guy, but they don't last nearly as long as these strings do. Maybe theirs other factors involved, but i'm changing my Ernie Balls out every two weeks and would probably be weekly if I didn't have multiple guitars I play. The D'Addario are adding an extra week or two to that and feel just as good.
First time I've bought these strings . I was recommended these on changing my guitar to aPRS custom. Sustain is amazing, and so easy to bend. Also, they're super smooth,it hardly feels like any effort is required. Tone, and balance of sounds across the range also excellent. Yep. May well stick with these
D'Addario is my favorite brand of strings, so I already know I'm pretty biased here. I don't need anything fancy so the D'Addario XLs are perfect for me. Inexpensive but still great quality. I've never had one break on me under normal use. Getting them in a bulk pack makes it easy to change strings whenever it's needed without running out to the store or making an emergency rush deliver purchase. I love the recycling program and easily recyclable packaging. That's what puts them over the edge for me. I love being able to cut down on packaging waste.
I've never used a D'Addario strings before so I bought a set to try them out. The strings themselves are fantastic! They have great tone and playability at a very reasonable price. However, I absolutely hated the packaging. The way the bunch and wind all 6 strings together is not my cup of tea. I'm more of an individually wrapped kinda guy. Overall, they're fantastic guitar strings!!
Great product, I put them on my Fender Tele. I have them on my Jazzmaster and my Stratocaster. Love these strings. I have played D' Addario for many of years. Everyone has their preferences and opinions. If they stay in tune and sound good. Then that's what I stick with. Price is good, keep them clean and they will Last a good while. Sam Ash, my favorite place. Thank you
The EXL120+ strings are primarily used on my Telecaster guitars. The strings have a much slicker finish to them than other strings I have used. You get a much better feel from the guitar while playing. It's a matter of personal preference! There is very little if any drag at all when sliding down the neck from one position to another, not to mention the great sound of the nickel string it's self. Give them a try and you will see what I'm talking about. They are great strings!
It used to be that heavier strings were recommended for both acoustic and electric guitars; that has changed! Nowadays, what with stomp boxes, et cetera, one can easily achieve just about any sound one is looking for...so string gauge is not quite as critical as it once was. And to be honest, the electronic quality of pickups, et cetera, is also not as important as it once was. Stomp boxes can also make even the cheapest sounding electronics sound terrific! For someone, such as myself, lighter gauge strings are a boon as I am now 74 years old and have a touch of arthritis in my fingers. XL light gauge strings have been one of my favorite brands for the last 15 years. I highly recommend them. They are a quality brand.
