Opening is citrusy, aromatic, and aquatic. The primary notes I get are grapefruit, mandarin orange, sea water, and juniper. The strongest of the notes are the grapefruit and mandarin orange. Both notes are very citric, fresh, and rindy; like natural orange and grapefruit oils. This is followed by the sea water note and juniper. The sea water note is very noticeable in a salty and watery way. It reminds me of standing on the bow of a ship and breathing in the ocean breeze. Finally, the juniper adds a prominent aromatic and spicy accord to the background with a slight piney nuance; giving the dry down a healthy dose of masculinity. The dry down is aquatic, citrusy, and musky. The primary notes I get are sea water, mandarin orange, musk, and juniper. The strongest of ... MoreOpening is citrusy, aromatic, and aquatic. They still carry the same accords from the opening, with the main difference being that the saltiness has opened up a bit more on the sea water notes. This is followed by the musk and juniper notes. The musk is a very standard designer musk note, fresh and powdery in a "clean laundry" sort of way. The juniper still brings the same aromatic masculinity along with just a touch of woodiness from the amberwood note.

This is a great everyday fragrance for when you want a clean fresh scent that is not to overpowering yet still feels elegant. I would call this a quiet luxury fragrance. I usually go for more gourmand or spicy scents and this is totally opposite yet I still love it. It’s lightly floral and slightly fruity. It’s youthful yet not juvenile. It’s classy and wears well. The only issue I have is that it doesn’t last as long as others. My go to fragrances I switch between are YSL Black Opium and Tom Ford Black Orchid. Those last all day, but are very warm for year round use. This is a nice fragrance for spring and summer.

One of my absolute all time favorite summer fragrances ever made. This stuff is a Mediterranean summer get away in a bottle. The fresh bright citrus hits you immediately on the opening. It’s nice, different from the usual citrus as they use grapefruit. As the dry down happens you really get this nice smooth salty aquatic note mixed with some woods. A must have for a summer blind grab. I feel it has a lot of versatility as well. You can wear it dressed somewhat formal or just casually hanging out. Usually blues and aquatics aren’t known for there projection and lasting power but this one I get about 2-3hrs strong protection after that it settles to a more personal 1-2 feet bubble for the remaining 3-4 hours. Like I said before definitely best suited for warm-hot weather.

After reading and seeing reviews on this one, I decided to go and see what the fuss was all about. Initially when I sprayed this the very first time I was hit by a blast of citrus, mainly grapefruit which kinda was dissappointing cause am not really fond of grapefruit as a citrus note. However it was just enough to let me still keep my attention to it, maybe cause of the way it's balanced with the mandarin orange in the top. This one is definitely in the Light Blue familly, but I would consider this more a cousin rather then a brother. Like people have already said, the pepper is toned down way more and it smells more oceanic/aquatic. You also get the ambroxan smell mixed in there from the top till the base. I however did not smell anything close to eggs, B.O. or seaweed. People really need to get their noses checked, and this is coming from someone who still recognizes scents since when he was a toddler. Anyhow, on paper I was underwhelmed and was thinking how much of a shame it was. I came back and smelled it on paper after 10 minutes and I was astonished. "What? Is this the same fragrance?!" I then sprayed it on skin and my gosh... I almost wanted to apologize to the bottle, this thing smells freaking awesome! The citruses blend in very smoothly on skin, a world of difference when sprayed in the air and the way the Amberwood, Musk and Juniper developed after that was phenomenal. The scent even reminded me of a familiar vibe I also got when I smelled some designer private line/niche offerings earlier before. It's a rather simple composition, but the quality is definitely there. A worthy upgrade from the OG, I do wanna say it smells very masculine imo. I would suggest this to a 25+ age group. And although it is a summer scent, it has a density to it I would personally not recommend for very high heat summer days. Late spring or sultry summer nights will have this shine like a diamond, potentially might even be a summer pantydropper. I got about 8 hours longevity, very solid indeed. Do not blind buy and test it out first, but do so on skin. This can be a hit or miss seeing the slight controversy about the scent. My conclusion: i'm gonna sell of my OG bottle and be keeping this in the collection
Today I had the pleasure of testing this intoxicatingly delicious fragrance from DolceGabbana. Light blue smells exactly as it sounds - an exuberant vision of cloudless skies, crystal clear water, and the ripened smell of fruit on a Mediterranean summer day. This fragrance really is a breath of fresh air, especially since I have been testing so many “musky” fragrances lately. This one goes easy on the musk and goes heavy on the fruit, and it does this quite successfully. The top note consists of a juicy sweet and sour splash of Granny Smith apple combined with the an Italian lemon zest that awakens the senses. At the heart is a jasmine and white rose bouquet. Truthfully, the dripping vivacity of the fruity top note really does overwhelm the floral heart. I think the jasmine and rose perhaps adds a soft roundness to the fragrance. This is in no way a critique of the perfume, however, because the top note is just so incredibly addictive and really does last. I have grown accustomed to fruity notes that delight for just a moment before dissolving completely in a matter of seconds. The fruit here takes center stage, and I just love Light Blue in that regard. At the base you have steam distilled cedarwood and amber - adding an unexpected warmth to the fragrance that takes a nice supporting role in the background. The bottle it comes in, though I do not have the pleasure of photographing it, looks truly beautiful. I love the blue sky cap, as well as the very light green hue of the solution itself - reminiscent of the peel of a Granny Smith. I sprayed this 3 times on my wrist and absolutely cannot stop pausing to smell it. This is such a delightful olfactory treat that will send your senses on a sugar high craving for wanderlust and fresh adventure. I smell super yummy wearing this, and I’m happy with that!
Dolce Gabbana Light Blue pour HommeDolce Gabbana Light Blue pour Homme is a fragrance that embodies true masculine elegance and freshness. Many people may struggle finding the scent that they truly like, and many perfumes, even expensive brand name ones, don’t last all day only a couple hours which is a shame. I have found the perfume that doesn’t. This perfume is definitely it yall! The packaging is amazing, the bottle looks so cute! It’s a really big bottle. The smell of the perfume OMG, people I cannot get enough of it, it is too good to be true… I can be sarcastic sometimes haha but this sweet, fresh mist of perfume. This is a great everyday scent, that you use after your shower every morning. One spray, on your neck and that’s it. The quote “a little can go a long way” is quite literally the only way to describe this amazing perfume in 7 words. It is a little bit expensive, of course and not everyone can afford it, but put it on your wish list. Ask someone to get this for you as a present for your birthday or the holidays! There’s a reason why there are 20,000 reviews and a 4.7 star rating. The smell lasts all day. Oh and I forgot to mention the amount of compliments I’ve gotten of what perfume I use LOL! I definitely think it’s worth the money, nice bottle, amazing scent. Everything is great about it! People don’t waste your time and get this perfume!
Good effort, this one. As a mod I'd not wear Dolce e Gabbana clothes - in fact I'd not wear any designer stuff because I'm not a rich kid. My Vespa was purchased after years of collecting part-time job money from working for the dairy, then a paper round, then shelf filling at the local supermarket, Mods are wise with money. It's all about looking cool on earned money. Balenciaga anorak 700? Giraffe and a half mate. No chance. But you can't be a Mod if you don't smell like a God. So you look for stuff that expresses your Mod mindset. Not as easy as it sounds. A lot of EDT still has that vibe of the boardroom, the golf club and the sports car - the vibe of people that want to be Sean Connery but can't mend a fence, never mind build an economy. This EDT is not one of these. This is Quadrophenia's central character Jimmy Cooper - after he told the head of the ad agency how to work a fax machine. 4 stars not 5 because - unlike the mighty Quadrophenia - this EDT doesn't have much longevity. About ten minutes max.
I have got the ladies version of this fragrance which i adore and i wanted to get my fiance a nice fragrance for his birthday. I saw that Dolce & Gabbana had a male version of this great perfume so i looked into it. I think it is one of the best males fragrance about these days, it is certainly something different than other top branded male eau de toilette. I feel the smell is not to over powering but just right with different smells which to me smells excotic. It lasts all day it has good staying power which is one of the reasons why my fiance likes it he can put it on in the morning to go to work and by the time he is back home around 9hours later you can still smell it on him. It is a simply bottle not to fancy so it really does look like a males fragrance. We are both big fans. Its worth a try if you are stuck on what to buy your fiance, boyfriend on valentines day or any other male relatives at birthdays and chrismtas!!
