At first we didn't notice much difference from our earlier basic router, until I had a download hit about four times faster than I'd seen before (even over the wired gigabit). It doesn't have spectacular range before you start to see the 5GHz signal drop-off, but even in a pretty large house usability hasn't been a problem. Only possible downside is that you cannot manually choose whether to use the short-range but fast 5GHz or the longer-range but slower 2.4GHz bands; it treats them both the same. It was worth the upgrade from a stock ISP-supplied router.

It took me 11 months and 2 ISP changes to realise this router is probably not compatible with NZ fibre... Don't buy it, don't take the risk...I'm never buying D-link again just in case. I trouble shooted this thing in the most systematic way the average home user can and after so many frustrating drop outs I've asked PB tech to refund after approx 10 months... Its embarrassing that it took that long but to their credit they are taking it back(i think?)... thank you PB. Long story short, I went back to a NZ ISP supplied router I had lying around and all my problems went away... and the range wasn't much different!

A great router. Much superior to the ISP supplied one. I now get the speeds I pay for. Simple to set up the router, just plug it in and select your ISP. All done. Wifi just needed to add in passwords and name for users. The downside is that the built in VPN only works internally not with a paid VPN to cover all devices like a smart TV. I had to get professional help to sort that and the Firewall setup. I'm happy with my purchase done just a few months ago.

Got this router a few months back. I have set it to reboot every night otherwise it starts acting up during mid-work. If I am out of home for 12-14 hours, my laptop would not re-connect back and I would have to force restart. Wireless range is so poor that it cannot reach the next room properly even with open doors. The signal strength would be 3/5 points but still not get data and streaming buffers.
Great speed and coverage for the 40% of the time it works. Always having issues “connecting to internet” with different devices when in another device it’s working just fine. 5gh band is the worst for it. Work around and been restarting the modem daily. No support online, most reviews now reflect same issue. No firmware updates as of recently. Avoid at all costs no matter how cheap it is.
I purchased this even though review's were not great. It works awesome for me, so im not sure what the others are talking about. The install was pretty straightforward, download the app, scan the code and just follow the instructions. It was up and running within 10 mins. I am with Bell for my internet and it was pretty seamless. Coverage is better than my last router and my speeds have increased also. No complaints here
Spent more than an hour to set up in access point mode. The option AP is available when using the App on the mobile, not on the browser. On the app, the setup says device password is wrong. The same password is accepted in the browser mode. It was a nightmare because the device password is not accepted on App while on the browser AP mode is missing. Thanks to Markk, who made the comment earlier. Following the restart, I could see the AP mode on the browser as well & I could complete the setup. I wouldn't recommend the device for a person not having IT knowledge as it will be really difficult to set up in AP mode. Probably the other modes may work. However, after the setup it works fine so far.
Might have just gotten a bad one, but for a while it delivered sub-par wireless performance (it took a 350 Mbps cable modems output down into the 45 Mbps range). Then it stopped working. The instruction manual is incredibly limited. Power cycled it. Reset the firmware. Tried to connect to the admin console (wasn't being served). The only feedback I got was a red light. Useless. But they have an app! Yeah... I'm not installing your app to manage my router. I returned it for a full refund (Thanks Microcenter!)
