Daawat Select Basmati Rice 5kg

The rice bags were delivered as promised. It was sealed like Fort Knox so it was very safe. I followed the instructions and the rice turned out so good. Basmati is low in the glycemic index so it’s good if you’re watching your sugar. Just eat in moderation. I’m a happy customer.

A MATTER OF LUCK FOR A PERFECT BASMATI RICE

I always buy basmati rice. When cooked, you enjoy the grains that separates and do not stick together. After all, you are not expecting a sticky rice which is preferred for dessert recipes. Genuine basmati smells nice. It's individual grains becomes long when cooked . The special quality of the grains is that it does not stick together as I mentioned earlier. However, sometimes you end up buying some brands that are difficult to water. The result is a soggy and broken grains that do not withstand the boiling stage. You end up disappointed. Instead of enjoying a perfectly boiled basmati rice with your stew, you end up MANAGING to eat your delicious stew with a soggy and sticky grains. I have been cooking rice all my life. I will continue to buy other brands when my preferred one is not available. Best I've ever had

I saw this reviewed on TV and being raised on Uncle Ben I thought how much could any white rice be anything but white rice. I was wrong. If you love really long grain white rice this is superb, better than twice as long as any white rice I've had and not sticky.....very seperate grains almost like small pieces of vermacelli noodles. I was not happy that it only came in 10 lb. bags because I'm not an everyday rice eater. I'm now glad it did because I'm enjoying it often. Follow the directions for rinsing before cooking and this will be the best rice you've ever had. I use a little chicken base when cooking and it is perfect served just with a pat of butter. I also make it plain and add a little butter and soy sauce and it's great. It is just great white rice.

Great Rice, Third Purchase, Nice Aroma and Flavor

We have been very happy with our Daawat Basmati Rice. This is our third purchase. We enjoy the flavor and freshness of it. There was only one time there was any issue and that was not the fault of the rice, nor Wal-Mart. In one case, the bag appeared to have burst during shipping, possibly due to another heavy item that was packed in the same box, but Wal-Mart promptly took care of it. If a person likes rice, they would probably like this rice.

[Rewarded Review] Buggin' out...

Usually terrific rice, imagine our shock when we initially opened to cook, washed rice and small black bugs appeared. We poured-out more rice and the small black bugs, some alive some dead were all inside the supposedly sealed bag of rice. Thankfully, WMT accepted our return which was 2 days before the window closed to return. Next time, we'll open rice on the first arrival, wash, clean and inspect.

if i could give a zero i would!!! for the amount to pay for this it came opened with tape to seal it? how unprofessional!!! and roce is missing!!! im so upset !!!!! I am trying to get a refund if anyone repsods !!! look at these photos !!
