I bought this rod from my local store, Frankston, for snapper and big flathead over in east gippsland, the 7' 4-8kg model, and have had absolutely no problems with it, awesome feelin g rod, great sensitivity, but powers up really nicely, awesome feel when fighting a fish, so far no snapper and havent got out to east gippsland, but have caught some big banjos and gummys and sevengillers on it, all round awesome rod.

I purchased the 13ft but the model was not available and Ben from the admin team was very efficient and professional to deal with, so I opted for the 12ft as i do only beach-rock fishing. Rod came in two days in a nice rod tube. |I paired it with Penn Wrath 8000 and went down to the local beach to test the casting distance, I was really impressed how far I could cast with size 6 oz, but no bites that day. On my second trip at the same beach I landed a 60cm Kingy and a solid tailor. Rod handled the runs and the fish headshakes really well and it was really easy to bring the fish to shore in a couple of minutes.Great beach rod for big fish at an amazing price! I might buy the 13ft anyway once it is back in stock.Really happy with my new rod!Thank you!

Beast of a rod. I have put this too the test. I managed too snap 80lb braid casting so hard with a big sinker and this beast is still strong and standing exactly why i got it. Has got a few decent fish aswell. Not just my casting haha.
Best rod I’ve bought in ages, great flex, it’s fiberglass so it won’t break. Caught tuna and large gummy sharks with it.
One of the best rods at 8 foot I've used. Good for off the rocks , pier or light surf fishing. Responsive and at the price, why pay twice as much ?
I bought this rod 6ft 12in 6-10kg to go with my Shimano Sienna 4000FE as a Cod rod and it has amazed me. It is very durable and has a great amout of eyelets as well as being very comfy to handle and use. It has a very smooth action and is amazing for casting long distances. I haven't yet taken this rod into saltwater, but I can't wait to try it out. I caught my pb Murray Cod first use so the rod has impressed me. I would totally recommend this rod however I am looking to upgrade to a size 8000 reel as I think it would suit it a bit better.
I bought this rod for its soft tip and great feel , Barra and salmon can play with the bait without feeling the tension from a firmer rod
This dawai rod is so nice. For the price I paid this is by far a 5 star product. It has good strength and a nice deel to the rod. The rod has been built so it doesnt brake which is something I particulary need. The tip of the rod is made of fibre glass which means the tip wont break and the rest of the rod is graphite. If the tip was graphite you could snap the tip that easily its not funny. The rest of the rod being graphite is good because graphite is actually stronger than fibre glass as long as its used properly.Anyway the colour is also nice.I put a penn fierce reel on my dawai beefstick and it goes really well.
Tested the rod on Tailor for a week at Fraser Island, worked a treat. Whilst it's rolled on a cheap mandrel, and the tip solid tip inserted during manufacture, it didn't hamper it's performance. Joints require more work, tending to stick. Flat section on handle aids good grip performance on larger fish. For the price, was nice to use. Combines nicely with a Penn 750, or upmarket diawa spin reels using braid.
