I have been using the Daiwa DC hard body lures for over 12 months now and they are far and away the best trolling lure for flathead that I have ever used. They outfish the usual alternatives 3 to 1. They are a bit expensive and trebles often need replacement but if you want to catch lots of flathead, this is the lure for you. They are also very effective flicking , cast and retrieving. The slim line style helps them cut through the air for great casting distance.

14 species and counting ! The “DC” is my #1,2 & 3 in my top 3 lures ! It just works ! Could not recommend enough. The only drawback is that, because it catches EVERYTHING that also means snags, so I have gone through quite a lot of them ☹️

If you’re keen estuary angler than you most probably would have used or at least heard of the famous Double Clutch lures from Daiwa. Outstanding lures for targeting most of the estuary predators. Flathead, bream, whiting and all the rest have consistently fallen victim to these lures. With a variety of good sizes and being able to use different techniques, you can’t go wrong. Great for beginners and pros alike.
Amazing lure by daiwa. Casts well, and most of all fish love em. Great colour range. Couldnt be happier. Anaconda has an amazing range on offer too
Went flathead fishing on the weekend and this lure produeced excellent results. Biggest fish was 54cm. The lure is easy to cast and has a great action that flathead love. A must have when fishing in 1 - 2m of water. All up caught about 25 fish in four hours including a nice bream and whiting.

Great performance, Poor Quality and Overpriced lure.I have better experience with lures made in Chine than in Japan.I had to replace Treble hooks after first fishing session. Very poor quality.
I'd always read that these lures were the go-to for flatties but I was a bit reserved about using them as I'm not really a hard body lure person, I prefer soft plastics. Plus these things aren't cheap, so I didn't want to lose it to a snag.Finally used one a few weeks back in a place where I knew it was a nice sandy bottom without snags. Hooked up to my PB flathead 1st cast. Immediately went and bought more, hoping it wasn't luck. Scored a little guy in a place that was otherwise dead a week later, and this weekend past I caught another 66cm, 60cm, and two smaller legal flatties this past weekend.I am going to stock up on these every chance I get. Twitch, twitch, pause. That's it.FYI, these are meant to have owner hooks, but at least at my local BCF there are ... Doesn't really matter though - even the owners don't fair well on big girls, so keep some spare and ready to swap out.
The Daiwa double clutch is an excellent lure. High quality finish, superb metalwork (trebles super sharp) and a proven trout lure in the impoundments of northeast Victoria. Very pleased.
