I use the this 6lb j-braid paired with okuma ceymar c10 and celilo rod. great combo imo. Casts extremely well (best I've ever experienced) and offers excellent sensitivity that braid is known for. I target mostly pan fish with this setup but have landed some nice 1-2lb bass too. Very flimsy line (like dental floss) so it can be a little difficult to tie knots compared to mono.

I spooled some of the 30 lb j-braid and took it out for an evening to throw. My line came back to me with a lot of knicks and fuzz in it. I was fishing opening water with nothing but grass bottom. Decided to re-spool my entire reel with my go-to suffix 832. It was such a weird thing. You’d think I had been fishing some of the craziest cover ever. I saved the line and will re-test at a later date.

This line is some of the smoothest, easiest casting line on the market. Love the Japan quality and great low price for what you get. Going to catch lots of fish!

Bought 6 pound Diawa J-braid, thought it would be great quality - made in Japan etc.. used for light saltwater estuary, & freshwater (bass & trout) on decent 1000 shimano Reels.Instantly had abrasion / wearing issues, gained wind knots easily & snapped once or twice with little pressure. Relative to other products I've used I wouldn't rate it highly (in my opinion). Still prefer Fins / Power pro etc. I've used in the past. Also trying Berkley ultracast soon. TBA
Good quality braid for the price, there are better products around but unavailable at bcf. I needed to spool a reel and had to spend a voucher
I picked up the 50# braid to toss big topwaters and frogs on. Huge fan of the feel of this! Some braids (in my experience) have a tendency to tighten up around the spool too much and cause casting issues. This J Braid has been super easy to work with so I have no headaches all day while fishing. Definitely will be buying more.
J Braid Grand in my opinion is the best line on the market.. Casts long, has a coating that keeps it slick and is truly abrasion resistant. I have used Power pro since it came out .. and have realized after using it for several months that this is a superior line for casting strength and abrasion. I got no break offs like power pro that wears at the hook knot. Discount tackle has the best selection and price of anyone online. So I converted all my fresh and saltwater reels over. I have tried several other lines but kept going back to power pro until now.
have used this on a few of my setups over the last 18 months. Is great because of its short break in period, low diameter for weight rating and love being able to tell how fast I'm retrieving my lure with the changing colours and the markers every 25cm or so. Would highly recommend.
Seemed like the line was not consistent, that there were areas that it looked like the line had abrasion areas or inconsistencies. In these areas, the line was definitely weaker than it should have been. I am a bit fearful of both lost fish and lost lures. Since this 80 pound braid line was purchased for musky fishing - I am fearful that I made a mistake in buying this Daiwa branded line! I bought two spools of it and now have it on my musky reels and have already lost one lure from what appears to be an area of line that the spinning process was not performed properly. I am thinking I need to remove all of this line from my reels - throw in away and purchase another brand. This was part of my first ever on-line purchase from Fleet Farm. First time using braid, I was amazed how sensitive it is and what I could feel. Maybe all braids are like this but I was impressed and liked the different colours
