After many years of using various braids, I found the Daiwa J Braid Grand has excellent knot strength and holds FG knots on light leaders without issues. After 10 plus fish, still no need to re-tie. A plus compared to some other braids I have used. This 6lb grand appears to have strength beyond the advertised rate and wind knots are a thing of the past. I now use 300 yards of braid rather than 150 yards with a backing line. I found the braid can catch on the knot connecting to the backing line even when the knot is not visible. I fish several times a month, so they get a good test.

Bought 6 pound Diawa J-braid, thought it would be great quality - made in Japan etc.. used for light saltwater estuary, & freshwater (bass & trout) on decent 1000 shimano Reels.Instantly had abrasion / wearing issues, gained wind knots easily & snapped once or twice with little pressure. Relative to other products I've used I wouldn't rate it highly (in my opinion). Still prefer Fins / Power pro etc. I've used in the past.Also trying Berkley ultracast soon. TBA

Fantastic braid, have used other brands like Savage Gear. This is much smoother and stronger for the same lb rating when tying FG knotsbat least. I have replaced my standard J Braid with this as its smoother and seems to absorb less water, casts better etc.
Good quality braid for the price, there are better products around but unavailable at bcf. I needed to spool a reel and had to spend a voucher
I used to use a variety of differnet brands however when i stumble upon j brade about 10 years ago it changed everything but being the strongest for the size of line it provides, ive never had an issue with this product and it may sound im sponsored, but im just an extremely happy end user of the product
have used this on a few of my setups over the last 18 months. Is great because of its short break in period, low diameter for weight rating and love being able to tell how fast I'm retrieving my lure with the changing colours and the markers every 25cm or so. Would highly recommend.
I have used this for my different areas such as dams estuary's and off shore local and mid QLD places caching frees water salt water species and it has always handled the species that i have caught. I have actually. found it better than some other brands that I have used in the past
Does what it says it does. Light but sturdy, does not snap and is easy to reel in. Used it in both rock and shore fishing. Does not disappoint.
1st experience Fishing with braid and this line has been exceptional. Surprising no bust ups with kings around the reefs. Tougher than I thought.
