I purchased this rod for reef flats fishing (7.2” kitchen sink) and I cannot be happier. It does everything I throw at it and more. Casting, bottom bashing, trolling for big pelagics and jigging. The build quality is exceptional for the price point. Highly recommend. Will buy more in the future

Really happy with the purchase. Already have the Hpyer V2 Rod. So got two more to add to the collection.
The hyper v2 must be held in person to be fully appreciated. The blank is top quality and the finish is superb. Excellent craftsmanship throughout. Crisp action and pleasing to the senses. Too bad Daiwa settled for MN guides with entry level aluminium oxide rings instead of KW and alconites. It was hard to leave it on the rack despite this.
great rod, handles a 5000 reel for a bit of extra dhu wrangling, whether jigging or a strip bait on a jig head
It’s a great rod, plenty of power, yet still pretty tippy. Comfortable design in the hand grips make it so easy to hang onto while fighting fish.
Excellent peace of kit for getting outside jigging and live baiting,,, paired with a Stradic 4000 reel running 30 pound braid.
