You dont need to spend a lot of money reels, except you want to have 5 ball bearings. so, this one is perfect. You want one that will last. Dont by cheap.

I was amazed to see a Daiwa reel at such a great price. Even though I already had a good reel, I had to have one. I was impressed on taking the reel out of the box - quality finish and very smooth running. I was equally impressed on using it for the first time. All in all, a great purchase.

Bought formy daughter as a step up from the kiddy gear. I've had constant issues with the anti reverse clutch and bale. I can fix it temporarily by pulling it apart, cleaning and lubing but the slightest contamination makes the reel near unusable. Spend a bit more or by a Sienna...
Don't let the price fool you,these are excellent spinning reels,well suited for pan fishing and light heavy fishing.The description states 3000 yards of line is an error.the spool holds about 295 yards of 10lb line.
This reel is excellent value & great for use in both fresh & salt water. I used it over the weekend in Loch Sport in both the lake & inlet. It has great drag for the 510mm Salmon I hauled in. I Recommend this reel to all especially to members of TADAC, (Thorpdale & District Angling Club).
I received one of these as a gift years ago. I now have four and couldn't be more pleased! Haven't had a single problem with them. It is constructed mainly of a very durable plastic hybrid that hasn't shown any sign of trouble. It doesn't have an instant anti reverse but it only has about a quarter inch of give. I've reeled in 20 lb cats and many bass on these and they haven't complained a bit! I would buy another but I already have four! Great buy and comparable to many 40-50$ reels!
I own two of the 4000-2b size sweepfire's, and I love them. I have them spooled with 40 lb powerpro braid..I use them on 7' and 7' 6" medium action rods. I use these two combos primarily for throwing 1 oz Carolina rigs with live bait. I've caught redfish after redfish with them and they hold up well. I've also caught some nice flounder and trout with them as well..I've gotten 2 years out of them so far, which is pretty impressive for a reel that's technically not saltwater rated!
I purchased the 2000 to pair with my 7 ft rod. I've caught more fish on this setup than my other saltwater reels. This is a freshwater reel. Have not had any issues using in salt. Just rinse with freshwater after every outing. Going to purchase the 3500. Can't beat it for the price.
Such a killer little reel for a killer good price. Only 10 bucks and it feels solid and sturdy. Metal parts. It reels wonderfully and casts even better! I pair it with the Shakespeare micro ultra lightl rod.
bought two for my family fishing adventure. Fluke fihing in the back bay and they did the trick. Kids had thier very own reels and will continue to use through the summer. On the forst trip even had two keeper fluke caught with the reels. Again great beginner reels for family vs renting each time we go fishing. Worked well....we shall see how they hold up to the salt water.
