Any angler can tell you that a stealthy jig entry and maximizing distance are the keys to a successful pitch or flip presentation. A variety of engineering technologies combine to make the TATULA ELITE P/F one of the best pitching and flipping reels available today. Our Magforce system has been reengineered to cater directly to pitching and flipping, altering the magnetic pressure as the spool starts to slow. While on a low trajectory path, this allows the lure to get maximum distance and a more silent entry. Standard brakes will cause a lure to take an upswing at the end of a cast due to the added braking pressure, limiting distance and creating a louder entry, with the lure hitting the water with a splash. A newly designed low mass A7075 Aluminum spool, T-Wing System (TWS), Zero Adjustor, 100mm swept handle and aluminum frame and sideplate all combine to make this truly one of the most purpose driven reels ever designed. Any angler can tell you that a stealthy jig entry and maximizing distance are the keys to a successful pitch or flip presentation.

I bought this about 6 months ago. I wasn’t very confident with any baitcasters like birds nest every 4 th cast. Told myself this year I am going to learn it. Used it for basically the whole day paired with a jackhammer caught 14 fish. Reel is simply amazing a back here or there but only when I try to really muscle it. Otherwise just a dream I am Daiwa forever now.

Got this several weeks ago and I'm more happy with it than I thought I'd be. I've had 2 other bait casters before the tatula and it's far better than those. First time out I'm casting twice as far as I ever did with my previous, not that surprising I guess it was a cheap "Black Max" reel from Wal-Mart but I'm still impressed.Got less backlash than I had with those rells and when they happened not as bad.Caught my first 3 bass with it thos past weekend, paired with a Berkeley lightning rod, I'm more pleased with this than I expected I'd be. Definitely recommend the Tatula Elite!

I bought this about a month ago, beast of a caster. Livin up to the hype boys and girls (gender neautrality is important ) this thing will send your lures I to the next zip code.I have bait casters from other brands that you all know and love. I still like them and I’m not replacing all of them with these yet? But this is puttin in the work with crankbaits.Probably around 15% distance increase on casting. That is over reels that cost a good bit more. It’s smOOOOth too. If you already like Diana’s, you’ll love this! If you favor other brands, this could turn you.Ok I’m outta hereBassthird out

I wish someone would’ve told me this when I was looking... I have 2 Tatula 100s, one CT Type R and the Elite. The elite feels more solid and less plasticky. It is smoother on the retrieve. Having said that, I love all of my Tatulas. I think they’re the best at their price points and they all cast very well. I got the Elite to increase my distance. Has it? Yes. But only by 5-10 yards So far. A little disappointing (I put a 100 and the Elite on identical rods and 30lb braid to truly find out) But what makes it worth the $ for me is how little effort it takes to bomb my small swimbaits out there. A flick of the wrist and you’re reaching 90% distance. I fish 20-30 hrs a week, and not having to put any muscle behind my cast makes a huge difference endurance wise. The added distance, and the effortless casting certainly puts the Elite at the top of the Tatula family. Hopefully this helped. I was desperately searching for answers like this before buying.
Just an easy toss and this sucker sends your lure into another zip code. I’ve owned other brands and there’s no question that other brands offer excellent choices. But man, this thing is phenomenal in casting distance. I’ve added distance to other reels with hybrid ceramic bearings and this reel still outcasts the others!Prepare for a level of separation anxiety, your lure will go so far that you may actually miss it.Crank the smooth reeling handle and it will come back.Diawa you have impressed me at an elite level.
Reel easily handles 1/4 oz lures on up. That is what is important to me. I prefer reels that can handle all baits, sizes and weights with minimal adjustment on the break dial. Reel is super smooth, casts smoothly and is quiet. Most reels can handle 1/2 lipless crank baits but this one is cool because it will cast a 1/4 oz lure into the wind and if set properly will cast with distance and minimal to no backlash.
If you are looking for a top-notch reel that casts a mile. This is it. Easy to set up and almost ready to cast right out of the box. It handles hard fighting largemouth very well. Go buy it!!
I am 12 years old and worked in my pastures and mowed the lawns to save up for this reel This reel is by far one of the best reels for its price. It is so smooth and lite. My first cast with it was insane I tried it out in my pond and casted it all the way to the other side! MAKE SURE TO OIL THE REEL UP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING WITH IT BECAUSE IT COMES DRY. Highly recommend!!!!!
It's been a year using this reel that I have purchased from DT. This reel is great for frogging! Spooled up with 50 lbs braided line and it will cast super far! I have been working snakeheads and bass out of NJ swamps like a champ! I also use it to throw some glide baits that are not too large and it's been treating me extremely well! For the Frogging setup, I paired it with the 7'3" Mag Heavy Rod from Dobyns Sierra Series! Plenty of drag and great back bone/flex on the rod to haul fish out of the weeds!
The reel felt great in your hand and on the rod.It really cast far. The problem I had was it constantly having bird nests. I tried with 2 different lines and weight from 1/4 ounce to a weightless 4 inch Senko. I had the adjustment to the max and had to be super careful not to get a bird nest.I have multible Daiwa bait cast reels with no problems.I returned the reel and Sportsman gavr me a no hassle refund.
