The third pouch has a thermal pocket which I can keep my boxed lunch in, although you may want to use a slim container because big ones dont fit in it so well. There is another pocket outside of that where I keep some other small items such as my knife and headphones. You got the sunglasses pouch, and both of the water bottle holders on the sides. This backpack is huge but also a very comfortable size if you have a moderate amount of school stuff to haul around every day. Perfect backpack, 5/5 would buy again!!

I’ve been using Dakine products from 2012 at wakeboarding and still a fan. This time I bought this backpack for my husband and he is so very happy with the sturdiness and simple/graceful design and amazing material. I’ve been using my Dakine backpack for 6+yrs and it’s still well framed & looks beautiful. Most importantly, Dakine always, always! use THE BEST ZIPPERS of all in the market, when other expensive bags use pathetic zippers it breaks after an year pr two! I don’t know what Dakine guys are doing, but please keep going! You are doing AWESOME.

Best backpack out there. Tons of available space but not bulky when it's not packed full. Great for school with laptop and books with plenty of room to spare. Also makes for a perfect weekender or carry on baggage allowance. I have 6 of these packs in the family bought in 2019 and all are still going strong but one with a failed strap in the fabric however not a single zipper failing after 4 years.Best of all is the warranty that Dakine honors. You know it is quality product when they back it with a warranty. You can't find that anywhere now a days.

Had a hard time finding a nice pack that would fit my 17" Lenovo laptop, this one works great. The laptop sleeve is a little tight but there are two big compartments so it's really not necessary. It fits the laptop, an accessory monitor and everything else with room to spare. I've been a huge fan of Dakine mountain bike and snowboard gear for years and this pack has lived up to the expectations.
Love this pack !!! City pack with a lot of features I've only had (or never had ) on my hiking packs! There is a chest strap that you can use if your pack gets heavy (for me that would be grocery shopping or going for a big walk on city trails), there is a very generous thermal pocket- the entire pocket is lined and acts as a cooler or to keep foood hot !! The red colour is very rich and the quality of the fabric looks very durable. There are many pockets inside to organize yourself and I really like the small sunglasses pocket at the front lines wih super soft fabric. Love it ! Replacement backpack for a Burton school backpack that lasted for 5 years (K-4) until the main zipper failed. A bit large right now for a 9.5yo but not overwhelmingly so. Lots of room for clothing and school work., Good quality stitching and overall construction, Zippers are not flap covered so likely a bit less water resistant compared to the Burton pack. Isulated pocket may require the move to a much bag from exiting soft coolers, TBD. Stach pockets and glasses pocket are well thought out. Soide pockets are just ok for most water bottles if not to large in diameter.

I purchased a cute backpack for my 8th grader this year when the lining of her first Dakine backpack disintegrated. The cute one lasted three weeks and the seam near the straps began to tear. I found this amazing backpack on sale and it holds so much and is very sturdy. The padded laptop pocket is a must for her school issued MacBook and there is plenty of room for all of her notebooks and other items. The school no longer assigns lockers, so the kids carry around a locker full of stuff with them. Thankfully, they don't carry all their books, since they are all online these days. My daughter is very happy with her new backpack and I can count on getting many years of use out of this one, just like her old Dakine.
This backpack is great - it's got lots of pockets and I love the insulated one for bringing snacks back and forth between school and work after a long day! It fits all of my books and notebooks and folders perfectly and comfortably and the laptop pocket is padded just enough so I don't have to worry about anything happening to my computer. I purchased this bag to carry me through from freshman year to graduation and so far, with full-time work, a month of school (five classes), and daily wear 5-6 days a week, it still looks brand new. I'm very happy with this purchase!
I have three kids and this is the third Dakine Camus L backpack I have bought. My first two kids have used this bag for grade 7-9 and it is great. It shows no signs of age and has the capacity to handle everything they need to bring to school. This new bag is for my grade 5 son, and he has been using it for 3 weeks and it seems to be working great.Some might say it is a little large for small kids, but the alternative is a bursting backpack or carrying multiple backpacks. I think the biggest negative is that my son sometimes can find things in his bag due to multiple pockets, but I think that is something kids learn from.
