I have mixed feelings about this bag, but I am disappointed overall. The materials are beautiful. The mechanics of the handle and wheels work very well.Packing and carrying leave a lot to be desired. The open side is the smaller of the two and does not hold very much due to the rolling mechanism. The zipper section is cavernous, but if it is packed at even 3/4 capacity, the front of the bag becomes weighted down, sloppy, and off-balance.I flew across country with the bag and used it for a two-week road trip in between. It fit the airline carry-on specifications but was far more cumbersome to use than a bag this size should be.Ultimately, it has about the same net capacity as my personal item backpack and is nearly twice as large - so I doubt will use it again.

I have been looking for the ultimate carry on bag for quite some time. With all the restrictions now, my old bags were all off by a cm or 2 and I continually had to check my little bag. This one is perfect. It is the right size for many airlines like AC, BA, AF Lufthansa and more. It is also very light and roomy. The wheels are tucked in so that you can actually have more room in your bag for clothes. I love it!

I have been using my Carry-On Roller Bag only from the house to our cottage in this pandemic. It is sturdy but because the inside is split in two equal compartments. if you don't load your belongings carefully, the bag can loose its balance, especially with a laptop in front. Therefore you have to be careful on how you load the weight into the inside compartments.

Let me begin by saying that I am a Dakine devotee. Every piece of Dakine luggage that I’ve purchased, I’ve loved! The Damien Carry On Roller 42L is my latest purchase and it is everything I could want in this size suitcase. While it may appear small, it has ample space to store all my essentials for a short trip in an organized fashion. Dakine’s split roller luggage is my ideal. I haven’t seen anything similar in other brands. Keep up the great work!
Great bag for a trip. Plenty of space for a weeks worth of clothes. It does not have split side storage or tons of organization like my girlfriends Terminal Spinner bag, but I feel like it holds more stuff. One large space on the bottom and a large zipper pocket under the lid. The sides are soft while the ends are rigid allowing for more stuff room inside. I got the camo flavor and love it. Very easy to find in case you get gate checked. Just returned from back to back week long trips and couldn’t be happier. You won’t be disappointed.
Wheels and retractable pull handle both operate smoothly. Big sturdy zippers are easy to find, grab and open. Nice big zippered pocket on the front for quick access. Comfortable padded handles on both the top and side of the bag make for easy lifting into the overhead bin. Also I love the pattern I purchased. Exactly as pictured on the website.
It’s fine. The canvas and zippers are great. Wheels and handle have yet to be seen whether they will last…my set from 2004 handle and wheels didn’t last. Overall I like this luggage more that many others, but wish it would all last or replacements parts were sold still
I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this bag for the price! The handle and wheel mechanisms are of very good quality, like you would see in much more expensive bags. The interior design is very functional. It is portmanteau style, with almost equal volumes held in both sides (top and bottom), instead of holding most of the contents in just the bottom where you then have to decide on what to bury underneath everything else. The top side has a mesh zipped cover to keep the contents in place when closing the bag. I travel frequently and have worn out many roller bags. This one compares to the best that I have traveled the wheels off of over the years.
Totally perfect carryon that meet airline standards. Also use it t’as a daily carryons to bring into the office in office days. Just the right size! Great quality nice wheels etc etc. Just buy it!
This bag is perfect for our family. We were looking for a carry-on that could accommodate enough for a week long trip and accompany our hiking pack on a place, this is the one. We bought six and we can’t wait to use them. They appear durable, but we will see how they hold up against 6,8,9,11 year olds. I love that we were able to get a different design for each person in the family.
