Dakine Womens Heli Pro 20L - Daypack

I bought the 2022 heli pro 20l model and its a solid pack. I skied with it for a full season with more than 40 days at a resort and lots of boot packing with carrying skis on it and so far its holding up really well. The pack stays dry on the inside even after 4 hours of straight skiing in constant snow fall and setting the pack down in the snow while strapping skis to the pack. The pack stays centered and pretty much stays put while skiing so its barely noticeable. Not a deal breaker though as the pack still moves with you while skiing and I only notice it when I go to take the pack off.Potential con. The side straps, at least on the 2022 model, on the bottom sides of the pack for carrying skis in the a-frame carry are not adjustable so if you have super fat skis the a-frame carry might not work. I carried skis with a 119mm tail with a little extra room so most skis should fit.

I have an older version of the same pack that I love and the new one is even better; seems closer fitting for lift service, much more stout ski carry bottom loops, and better waist belt. My old one is still in fine shape- it's just that i wanted one that was permanently set up for backcountry, and one permanently set up for lift service! I am 5'2" petite but with large bust and most packs don't fit me comfortably. This one does!

This is a fantastic backpack for those who are looking for a bag that will fit the things you may or may not need when riding.For example, when riding I will carry a bottle of water or two, some snacks (trail mix/clif bar), my car keys, wallet, an extra pair of gloves, some hand warmers, a portable battery charger, my low light goggle lens. In the main compartment I keep my Burton AK BK Lite Down Jacket, which fits very nicely and is great to have in case it gets too cold out. If it gets too hot, I can strip layers and store them instead of running all the way back to the hotel or car or what have you.While I was snowboarding at Vail, I ended up losing my bearings and got a little bit lost. I wouldn't use it for something like school work, as it's a bit small for books. It may be a good travel backpack for a carry on item as long as you're packing smaller things.The internal pockets could use a little bit of improvement and a little bit bigger size with maybe some stretch lining instead of the non stretch fabric used right now. That's my only complaint.
