As a vegan product for vegans, or those who can't eat gelatine, these are fantastic! I'm not going to say they are the same as the regular marshmallows but I love them enough to never need to tempt myself with them again. To be honest I only eat them when roasted over a wood fire so it's not that often. Most people who eat them with me have no complaints. But they definitely do not have the same texture or flavour as regular marshmallows. I would say they are slightly less flavourful (not a bad thing), they are former but still fluffy. The biggest downer is that fact that they don't melt the same way - but that suits me as you can eat the outer layer and melt again. The mini ones are perfect for melting in one go. Plus they are adorable. Would still highly ... MoreAs a vegan product for vegans, or those who can't eat gelatine, these are fantastic! My entire life I've been a jet-puffed girl. I kept seeing these recommended. I'm supposed to eat lower ingredient nowadays and I'm eating less animal products than I used to (which has never been that much anyway), so I figured I'd try them. These are perfect, like the ultimate marshmallow. I'm not sure if they are the best vegan marshmallow because they're the only vegan one I've tried. I can say though that they're the best marshmallow of any kind I've ever had. They're delicious! A light vanilla flavor that melts well and tastes just out of this world. Unlike other marshmallows I've tried they don't get sticky in the bag after opening! I've made smores with them and they toast up so nicely. Next is rice krispie bars!! These are 5 star marshmallows and if I ever need marshmallows these are my new go to!

It took me a couple stops to find these, but it was worth the effort to be able to make s’mores at the campfire during my vacation! I wish they were more widely available. These are vanilla-flavored, not plain—tastes nice. Got properly crispy where I held it near the fire and lightly toasted where I gave the flames some space. Got puffy, didn’t melt too much inside, but not sure if that’s because of the ingredients or attributable my skills (it didn’t bother me, but my non-vegan partner commented on the level of meltedness). Sounds like others have reviewed them as being more dense than the traditional marshmallow. Regardless, the best part is that they’re cruelty-free! #vegan

These marshmallows are worth the price you pay. They are delicious! Chewy, dense, and full of vanilla flavor. I love the large size for snacking and the minis for floating in my (Castle Kitchen) hot chocolate. The recognizable name brands you find at your grocery store or the store brand(s) can't compete in flavourful or ingredients. And of course, check out Dandies ingredients list. No corn dextrose, gelatin, mineral oils, and other "stuffs" that can sometimes make you think, "Ummm, why is this in my food?"
These are the best vegan marshmallows! Perfect for smores, for baking and just snacking out of the bag. SO much better than gross, nasty un-vegan marshmallows. You will not regret trying these! My kids and family don't even notice the difference, other than they taste BETTER. I think its the tiche of vanilla flavor, but super yummy and no gross animal parts gelatin. Wish I could give this more than 5 stars.
We love Dandies marshmallows around here! Since Vitacost only sells the large-sized and not the minis, I cut them to size depending on what I'm making. I've used them in hot chocolate, dipped them in chocolate and covered w/sprinkles (the Simple Truth rainbow sprinkles; also purchased on Vitacost), Resurrection Biscuits for Easter, and s'mores. They may not melt down as much as conventional marshmallows because they are gelatin-free, but they do melt well for our needs and they taste SOOO good even when eaten as is.We made s'mores the traditional way with graham crackers, and recently we tried it with whole-grain saltine crackers (an idea I got off the internet). A box of saltines also cost less than a box of all-natural graham crackers (Simple Truth, Annie's, and Kinnikinnick...which are the only types we buy) and there's a larger quantity. Let me tell you, the s'mores made w/saltines taste just as good (my 4yr old and 10yr old agree)! Cut the marshmallows in half since saltines are smaller than graham crackers (but you could still cut them in half for these also). Bam! You have 2 s'mores from one marshmallow. Give it a try...I bet you'll like it!
I just love marshmellows! I especially love old ones that are tough and dry and therefore really chewy. But I refuse to eat white sugar anymore. The only exception is if the sugar is organic. When it's organic it doesn't trigger the cravings that normal sugar does. Well, for me anyway.I first saw these in a discount bin. When I saw what they were I bought all they had (there were only 3 packages) because I had never seen them anywhere before and didn't think I would again.I was so surprised to see the exact same ones here! Of course I bought some and will continue to in the future.I put holes in the bags so they dry out quickerI read in your reviews that someone else also does that; I was glad to see that I'm not alone in how I enjoy them!I've been thinking ... MoreI just love marshmellows! Dandies marshmallows are amazing.I became vegan late in life and these are the only comparable vegan alternative that come close to the non-vegan versions. In fact, I prefer these ones! They are amazing by themselves, or toasted over a bbq... My main problem is once I open a bag I can't not finish it!!!And Asda are the only place that you can buy these marshmallows without needing to get out a second mortgage!I highly recommend them.
These are the best tasting marshmallows I've had! As someone with a corn allergy, I never thought I'd be able to have marshmallows again unless I made them myself. They roast well and are good in hot chocolate. If you want to make rice krispy squares, make sure you use the recipe on the Dandies website. They require a bit of coconut oil added, otherwise they come out hard as a rock.
Love love love these vegan marshmallows! The kids go crazy for them, and they’re awesome over an open fire! Only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to the price. They’re SO much more expensive than regular marshmallows (along with most specialty vegan items) that it’s frustrating and expensive during camp season. Other than the cost though, we have no complaints and thoroughly enjoy them!
