is a classic Hugo Boss fragrance from way back in 1999. It’s a citrus heavy fresh scent that utilizes woody base notes for a fresh clean scent. This is a scent primarily geared toward summer use or after the gym as it isn’t very loud and doesn’t last very long. I prefer fragrances with much better performance than this, even for summer fresh scents. Being released in 1999 there are many other similar options that smell better or preform longer but they aren’t available under $30 like Dark Blue is. Performance is sub par with projection being mild and coming in around 1 hour. Silage is around 2 maybe 3 hours. Blast of freshness at the beginning with notes of ginger and a synthetic citrus opening. The mid and base of this is what makes me keep this in my office drawer for those times I might need to freshen up as I head out the door to meet up with some friends for happy hour. The mid and base has a lot of the usual suspects of men's fragrances like cardamom, geranium, cedar, vetiver and patchouli. There's nothing groundbreaking here, but there is nothing offensive either. This is designer fresh fragrance at its most generic form.

I got this one as a gift and this so far one the decent and best fragrance I have, it’s mildness makes it even more noticeable. This is a must try I wish to have this one again. Infact any fragrance from hugo has its own class.

This is an oldie, but a classic. This is a fruity and woody scent with top notes of ginger, lime, lemon, orange and grapefruit. The middle notes give the fragrance its spice, cardamom, mahogany, sage, cypress and geranium. Lastly, the base notes are cedar, patchouli, vanilla, vetiver and benzoin. It lasts a really long time and has good projection. The bottle is simple and sleek.

WOW haven't had this for over 11+ years. Brings back fond memories.Smells exactly the same! Thought it would have been reformulated, like everything else these days.It was also $10.00 cheaper compared to a "prominent competitor" and delivered within the 3 business day's to Dunedin (SI) - awesome service. The best Hugo boss scent ever. Getting more and more expensive as I assume production may have stopped and what ever is out there people seem to be selling at all sorts of different prices. Bought 5 bottles in the last month at different prices ranging from 35.00 to 45.00 stocking up as as I have a feeling will be hard to get. Love the scent and lasts a long time. I love the scent of this cologne!!

I ordered this cologne when I received an email to let me know that it was on sale! I wasn't familiar with it as I had never tried it before. So I took a chance and I was thrilled the first time I used it!! I definitely recommend this cologne as it is not overpowering but the scent does last for a while! I am seriously considering ordering it again in the future as soon as I ran out of the one I have right now.

Perfect gift. The scent that reminds me...

My fiancé loves this perfume. I bought this as a gift for him as these perfumes are very expensive in Europe. I’m happy DSW carries perfume, and hope they will keep Hugo Boss Dark Blue and Mont Blanc, which is another favorite of his. Like every person that has a special scent that reminds them of their loved one, this one reminds me of my better half. When he is away the scent that lingers on clothing makes me feel close and at home.

Strong yet sweet

This is a very pleasant cologne despite running out its course as cologne smell get..I have to say it a very sexy cologne and even it not overpowering....it will give a woman a funny feeling about you if she already likes and she sense of scent agrees with the woody/spicey but soo soft fragrance.I bought this at the same time as i bought the polo in a red bottle and this Hugo Boss beats polo hands down..As a matter of fact, its the edge that thr polo is missing ...Wear this out to a party or date and see what happens.
