Philosophy Renewed Hope Water Cream

I absolutely love this moisturizer! This water cream has hyaluronic acid and pineapple extract, and kept my skin hydrated all day(or all night) depending on when I used it. It is very long-lasting and has a very light natural citrus scent that smells amazing. My favorite part about this water cream is the texture! It starts off with this really thick texture, but as soon as you start to massage it in, it simply MELTS into the skin. It absorbs super quickly, yet your face still feels velvety soft afterwards! I have been using this for 11 days now along with my (newly stated) retinol at night and it has been really helped me to avoid any dryness or other issues that retinol can sometimes cause. Not only is the packaging and container itself gorgeous and looks amazing on your vanity shelf sink counter or wherever you keep your beauty but the hope in a jar water cream is the most hydrating face cream I have used yet. My husband and I have been using this product for YEARS. First purchased from Beauty Brands.. then I started ordering from the Philosophy website. Literally the only Moisturizer we have been using. Well, for black friday deal we purchased.. but we didn't start using that until just recently. (We still had our previous one to go through). We noticed different packaging and figured it would still be the same ole same ole.. well not this time!! Our faced are literally on FIRE!!!!!! My poor hubby had to go to work with his face beat red. Luckily he started using it this morning so he has the weekend yo recover. The only thing different I see in the ingredient list is the "pineapple extract" so maybe the acidicness from that?? Not sure. All I know is we csn no longer use this and after 4 years of using this.. we have to find something else.
