Davines Momo Shampoo 250 ml

I purchased this from a salon because it was recommended to me. I have medium thickness, straight, long virgin hair. This made my roots (the only place I lather it) feel weirdly thin and brittle right after I rinse it out. I noticed I had a ton of hair loss, more than usual, after I used it too. My scalp also didn't "feel" clean, but it didn't feel bad afterwards. Meh. Not a fan. I'm glad I didn't purchase the regular size.

I have been using this product for months, maybe almost a year actually, only to go to re-order and find they use yellow 5, green 5, red 33 and so on. Cancer causing fake dyes that are soooo bad for you. wow. I am so disappointed. Why?! What is the point of this ingredient. This is so misleading.

I won both the MOMO shampoo and conditioner two years ago at a fundraiser and loved it. I’m disappointed in the recent product I received as I don’t smell the wonderful scent it left in the past and it’s not as hydrating. My hair looked so healthy after the process of washing and conditioning with MOMO last time, but my hair appears drier and not as healthy this time around. I’m going to wait for next shipment to see if I see a difference, otherwise I will likely cancel.

I bought the Momo shampoo, conditioner, and leave in. Upon shampooing my almost-b cto-mywaist long wavy, curly hair I knew it would be great. It just felt better somehow; it was more than just clean? I left the conditioner, on the ends below the ears, for about 5 minutes, and then after squeezing & scrunching out as much water as could, I applied a puddle (about a 1/2 dollar coin sized) of the leave-in overall, using the two flat hand (pane of glass) approach, plopped in towel for ½ an hour and then waited for it to completely dry. It took all day in the rainy AZ desert. Result? Amazing, soft, shiny curly locks. I had been considering cutting the dry, lifeless ends. Not anymore!!! 🥰

This has been one of my diehard staple shampoos in my rotation of favorites for years. Like facial cleansers there is nothing in my routine that starts off good haircare like a quality shampoo. For those of us who dont have effortless hair and can grab anything with no issue lol finding a quality shampoo is rare with so many things on the market whether drugstore or high end literally full of just crap ingredients whether silicones, sulfates, drying agents and just endless chemicals that arent doing you any favors. I have had naturally very frizzy and pouffy (not damaged at all) wavy hair all my life so always have needed a shampoo to be gentle/moisturize yet not weigh my hair or scalp down as pretty much all moisturizing shampoos that are targeted for super thick hair seem too. That is probably why I have become an ingredient nazi on all fronts skin, body, and haircare. I've tried many salon lines in my life and rare of them are worth the high cost as Davines simply is. I have tried all their formulas and Momo is my absolute favorite of not having a sickly perfume fragrance as some of theirs do similar to Oribe pproducts, great formula/ appreciate the brands mission, and simply is the softest most natural light moisturizing lather leaving my hair so hydrated and soft but still feeling clean. Couldnt ask for more and per the quality all the products from this line are super concentrated so it really goes a long way and lasts forever for me which is why I typically buy the travel size bottles having much more fresh products when rotating with my other shampoo staples from Klorane and Leonor Greyl. The Curl Shampoos from Davines are great too and what I recomend to several friends who have much thicker kinkier hair than my more fine to medium waves. If you are chosing between Momo and Nounou, Momo definitely is the better moisturizing shampoo imo not having all the protein and keratin Nounou has considering it is for the most damaged weakest hair on top of the extra moisture provided. Protein heavy shampoos only make my hair more dry as the case for many.

I received the MOMO shampoo this month in my MyLittleParis beauty box and was immediately thrilled by the very pleasant scent of the shampoo, it smells EXTREMELY GOOD or better said AMAZING, truly INCREDIBLE (has a fruity melon scent)!!!! After washing, the hair feels really clean, light and fresh, is super soft and has a beautiful shine!!! The shampoo is also very gentle on the scalp, it causes no irritation, so therefore it's just perfect and super recommendable if you have a sensitive scalp!!!! Other plus points: The shampoo consists only of natural ingredients. It is also sustainable (in production), has a zero impact as well as a recyclable packaging and is vegan friendly, too!!!! Davines MoMo Shampoo 250ml

Bought this with the condition on recommendation by a hair dresser who said my faith in nature was not moisturising enough and to try something professional. I would never normally spend this much on shampoo and conditioner but with little hair growth or strength I had no choice but to try everything. Ive used it so sparingly because I want to go further however you really dont need much to get a good lather and only need a tiny pea sized amount to coat nearly all your hair with the conditioner. I absolutely love the smell. Its really strange not your typical shampoo smell but I really like it. And it makes me very fine hair light and bouncy after washing and also deeply conditioned. I am hooked.

Disappointing

I loved using Davine's Nounou. I started using it when my hair was extremely dry and breaking and I was losing handfuls of hair each day. It really brought my hair back to life. But then when my hair got healthy again, it became too moisturizing for me and it started giving me dandruff.I purchased Momo because it promised moisture (but not as much as Nounou) and was allegedly great for my hair type. I have thick strands of straight hair and my hair was very healthy but it has always historically been a little bit on the dry side and required more moisture than protein. I loved the smell of Momo and it made my hair feel really clean but it dried my hair so much that my hair went back to being brittle within two washes. The real deal

So happy to find a trust worthy source to order my Momo shampoo from! You can’t trust Amazon these days. There’s no telling what in the shampoo they ship under any brand name. For the past 2 years, I’ve been slowly switching all of my products to clean products. I’ve tried all sorts of brands for both hair and skin care, but 100% Pure has consistently been a game changer. Recently frustrated with another clean brand that wasn’t cutting it, I reverted to using Pantene. After just one use my hair felt like I had some god awful film that wouldn’t wash out.
