It’s a good little machine, once you work out the best way to use it for yourself. I Found the instructions kind of useless. After researching and weeks of trial and error, I came up with ano-strain Greek yoghurt method. If you’re looking for a creamy, yet tangy greek yogurt that requires no straining, I will provide my method below.UHT 1L + (Long Life Milk) of your preferred brand. If making first batch of yoghurt, use one whole sachet of EasiYo Greek Yoghurt powder base(Purchase from Woolworths & Coles).ORFor every batch after the full sachet method, can substitute to half a sachet in addition to a few tbsp of the previous yoghurt batch. You can use this method of reusing tbsp yoghurt about 4x.(I use a little 25mg scoop) 11-12 scoops of milk powder.Upon checking an online conversion, 1 scoop of 25mg milk powder is equivalent to 3 & 1/4 tbsp.(skim milk will produce a tarter flavour apparently and may require more scoops, unsure as I use full cream powder).I usually use Westgold milk powder but have used Woolworths milk powder and the WW brand I needed to add an extra scoop or two. Just experiment, I suppose.Set the yoghurt maker to C-7 setting.Set to 42c & for 22-23 hours.(Best temp for yoghurt is between 38c-42c. The higher the temperature and the longer you brew the yoghurt, will create a more tart and tangy flavour).Once done, do NOT stir (it will disturb bacteria) and put in the fridge for half the day or over night. You can now stir before serving.I hope this can help some people.

I read the reviews before purchasing. I read that the Greek yogurt was apparently creamy and delicious using this yogurt maker. The Greek yogurt I have made unfortunately hasn't been thick like the ones you buy. It's been quite runny. I was advised to add milk powder to see if that thickens up the end result, but it hasn't. I was told to add a jar of cream to see if that would work, but it hasn't. I've used various brands of fresh full cream milk but it makes no difference. What I end up with in the bottom of the container is a smooth but runny yogurt, and in the top strainer area, a thicker result but not really a yogurt. I think it's a labneh. I've been using the Greek yogurt program on the device which takes 10 hours; then I refrigerate for six hours as ... MoreI read the reviews before purchasing. Neither the Greek yogurt nor the labneh have much of a yogurt taste.

Good price, works as expected and comes with 2 plastic container inserts - one for yogurt and one for sour pickling. May take a few practices for the right yogurt consistency depending on quantity measures. Use best quality full cream milk and a full cream yogurt as a starter in first batch for a thicker consistency.Transfer to a boil proof glass container that has been fully Sterilized in boiling water on stove and then turn jar upside down to thoroughly dry . Only when cool put the yogurt in jar. This stops bacteria forming turning yogurt off and making serious gut health issues. Should keep up to 10 days

Does anyone want this for free? Only couple weeks old! It's hopeless. Ive made yoghurt for years and am v disappointed. The yohgy=urt is not setting properly. Total lemon. Waste of kitchen space. I'm reverting to my original method. Cant believe such a failure, maybe it just doesn't work properly?????
Excellent yogurt maker. I now have three and use all at the same time to make Greek yogurt for my family. Regular cycle of different stages of Greek yogurt making - fermenting yoghurt for 24hrs in the yoghurt makers, staining the yoghurt for at least 24hrs in the fridge, and having a container of Greek yogurt in the fridge for eating. The yogurt maker has strainers and I have purchased a couple of extra strainers.Best Greek yogurt I have ever tasted! Economical. And great source of calcium. Great for smoothies, yogurt on its own, and as a substitute for sour cream. Each time I make yoghurt - total 4 litres UHT milk, 3/4 cup milk powder per yoghurt maker, and yoghurt culture and probiotic culture. I source the cultures from an on-line store.
The instructions are very specific and should be followed closely. The yoghurt maker works okay using a small tub of your own store bought yoghurt. It is thicker and better if you use the basket for Greek style. The store packets of yoghurt culture work great you mix it with water and shake first. It tastes clean and contains no sugar.
Great product. I would slightly warm the milk and yoghurt, made the mistake of putting it in cold from the fridge. I had to purchase another container and strainer as the strainer cannot not fit all the yoghurt in.It’s small and compact, not taking up much room and does the job. Quality of yoghurt depends on starter culture and good milk.
Excellent at making yoghurt. Yoghurt was thick and I followed the tip in the manual by adding 2Tsp of powdered milk to get it thicker. Yet to try kimchi and other fermenting of vegetables. You could make your money back on saving buying yoghurt, As they are inexpensive I would like to buy another to have two running at the same time. Keeping one for yoghurt and the other for kimchi. I believe you can make vegan yoghurt too by adding a starter.
Just loving my new yoghurt maker. It is so simple to use, just mix the whole milk and starter, then set in the container on a steady temperature. It can be left to set overnight as it takes 10 hours to make a standard yoghurt. My old one was very temperamental and often resulted in spoiled ingredients because of unsteady temperatures. The strainer provided allows you to manufacture a thicker Greek style yoghurt, or if left to strain for a longer period labneh is the result. Yum. The whey can be used for other cooking purposes. I'm looking forward to experimenting withcottage cheese or fermented vegetables such as sauerkraut and Kim-chee. Too easy.
This yogurt maker works perfect, it has a good size. I use it at least three time by week, because I make free lactosa yogurt for my son. This is my second yogurt maker of this brand and model, the another still works, but the reason of the why I bought this second one was because the strainer (I love Greek yogurt style) filled out out of some disgusting stains so my recommendation is dry it very well after washig.
