Dax 100% Pure Lanolin Super Hair Conditioner

The part of the table that stands out shouts "100% PURE LANOLIN" When I got the jar the fine print said " Compounded with 100% pure lanolin". The first ingredient is petrolatum! Then lanolin, then water and eight other ingredients, some of them I don't how to pronounce. I don't what you would add to lanolin to make the lanolin not pure. If I wanted Vaseline with lanolin I would have ordered that. Thank you for your time.

I only just started using Dax and I'm already in love with this one! First off, though, I get why some will call this grease false advertising, but it does say that it's "compounded with" 100% lanolin, nowhere does it say that it's all lanolin. Wouldn't it be nice if they'd give a ratio of lanolin versus petroleum? I wish they did, but you know what? I don't really care that much because this grease is just great. I've called it a "clean" grease because unlike it's competitor (and also my favorite), Blue Magic, it doesn't smell strongly of chemicals, it doesn't have that heavy petroleum smell, it basically just smells like very light baby powder. I like how the golden color reminds me of honey, it's also a really pretty looking grease, and I like I said, it's "clean" in that also, it doesn't feel too greasy and not even as oily as Dax's Hemp grease. It leaves my hair style feeling and looking very fresh and beautiful, and most importantly, seals in the moisture and keeps it that way for days/weeks. It's definitely now my favorite Dax grease!

100% sticky wax - hard to wash out - should not be used on hair or skin

absolute rubbish. This is not a conditioner, you might just as well put vaseline all over your hair. It took 3 washes to get the stuff out. Teddy Boys would have loved it. It states its non sticky, well its extremely sticky. They should call it 'wax' not conditioner.

Hand cracking remedy

I use the lanolin as a hand cream. It isn't recognised by the NHS, any longer, unfortunately, it's too greasy. My GP, long since deceased, prescribed it. It works very well. Lanolin comes from sheep. The story goes that, Shepards' never had cracked hands, due to their continual touching the sheeps fleece. The source of lanolin. Truly, a natural product.

Musical instrument slides!!!

100% Lanolin. I use it on the slides of my cornets, trumpets and flugel horns. Does not go hard or cause damage to the slise material. Excellent!

Vaseline, Definitely NOT Pure Lanolin

The title "Dax 100% Pure Lanolin" is very deceiving because this product is not pure lanolin. Even the packaging is misleading because if you look closely, it says "compounded with" in very small letters and "100% Pure Lanolin" in very large letters. In fact, the first ingredient is "petrolatum" AKA Vaseline. If I wanted Vaseline, I would buy Vaseline, and for much cheaper at that. I need lanolin to make homemade unvaseline, and this entirely defeats the purpose. I can't return this product to Walmart because it's from a 3rd party and to ship it back would cost about same as product. Very disappointed in this company.
