Maybe I've had bad luck with these boards, but I bought this and a KAB board, and both have failed within the first month of operation. The DSP features/ Sigma Studio is incredible, and the amplifier module sounds fantastic. The DSPB board lost an input channel in the AD conversion, but the amplifier works well. The KAB board died almost immediately on me. Dayton Audio has done a great job with the quickstart manual but lacks for more complex configurations. It's also unfortunate that you cannot add external volume control without desoldering a potentiometer.

This amp has power, efficiency, and best of all, programmability. I am in the process of building a small retro looking speaker and the possibilities are endless with this board. I am using sigmastudio on the pc to program the dsp on the board to have filters for bass enhancement or loudness control and for clarity/spatial sound to give audiophile quality sound in a small package. These boards are part of a Dayton audio line of kits so modular plugs and add-ons are available from optional battery/charger board to adding additional amps for 2.1 or adding Bluetooth.

Great little AMPS from Dayton, just wish there was more support for the DSP side of things.It would also be AWESOME if anybody knows how to pull the existing DSP program off before uploading another.
Excellent, clean output. The noise floor can be a bit high when using high-sensitivity drivers. An addition of a clip indicator would be useful for high power output and debugging. I also wish the board supported external potentiometers or even digital pots VIA I2C or SPI. A design with the TPA3221 would be an absolute buy.Aside from that, the board is one of the best DSP amplifiers for its size and price point. Doing this instead of bi-amping with two tweeters on one amp and two woofers on another ensures better amp power handling and can reduce crosstalk.SigmaStudio is not the easiest tool to use, but if you are an engineer or are good at picking up new technologies I would recommend this.
It'd be great to have one of these boards that had both DSP and bluetooth integrated together. Aside from that, this board seems to perform as it should for a fair price. The live-connection to Sigma Studio can be a little unstable at times, but nothing too troublesome. The onboard trim-pots are nice, and can be used to live-control volume, filters, etc, but it would also be nice to have a way to break these controls out to full size pots. Measurements have shown the frequency response to be quite flat; only about 2dB of roll-off down to 20Hz, and a 1dB dip around 10kHz. Although it's pretty trivial, I accounted for these features in the DSP because why not??
I use the DSPB-250 to replace Bose '90 - '96 Corvette speaker amplifiers. I use an SNI-1 input coupling transformer to eliminate input ground noise. It works great with the sample project configuration. I made some changes to the equalizer to get match the Bose sound.
I had never done any DSP work prior to purchasing this little amp. I had a spare Jordan JX92S and a HiVi planar RT1C which I used to make a mono speaker for listening to my podcasts and music in a workshop. The DSP system proved easy to learn and I was able to connect to Sigma Studio easily.With little effort I was able to use REW to create a frequency response and then use Sigma Studio to auto-equalize. The final response is flat (+/_ 2dB from 50 to 20,000). I then added a mono-mixer and loudness controls. The result is simple astounding and sounds as good as my Focal home theater speakers.I see complaints about noise but once disconnected from my noisy computer the amp is dead quite.
