Ok but not brilliant like I expect from DelonghiAlways had Delonghi products but this kettle although looks great esp with the matching toaster, the lid is not easy to remove & irritates me every single time we want to fill the kettle as water splashes out from the force of taking the lid off. Not great when its just boiled too as hot splashes of water slways get me. Maybe not explained it that well but buy n try to see what I mean!19 people found this helpful

Excellent product, classic design and style. I would like to rate it 5 stars but, fresh out of the box there were 2 small dimples/ imperfections in the main body. Not bad enough to complain and return/ replace. Obviously poor quality control at manufacture as condition of box supplied was perfect.

Excellent product, classic design and style. I would like to rate it 5 stars but, fresh out of the box there were 2 small dimples/ imperfections in the main body. Not bad enough to complain and return/ replace. Obviously poor quality control at manufacture as condition of box supplied was perfect.
The design of this kettle is very good and it looks like a far more expensive item than it actually was. The colour is great too.HOWEVER it is SO noisy - quite ridiculously so. When it's beginning to boil, it's impossible to hear the radio or have a conversation without raising your voice.Another fault, sadly, is that as you replace the boiled ketter onto the stand, it splutters hot water rather alarmingly from the spout - it's not clear why.If I hadn't thrown away the packaging, I would seriously have considered returning it.
This is no light weight kettle! It feels solidly built and well finished. It's easy to fill through the spout. The handle is nice and chunky and has plenty of space between it and the kettle body. The 'on' indicator is very discreet, so perhaps not so great if you are visually impaired. The only slight negative is it is not so easy to see the water level. It boils hot and fast.

It lasted four years and eventually the ' chrome ' trim ( actually plastic ) became discoloured at the bottom of the kettle.Also a small area of paint on the main body of the kettle flaked off for no reason.Disappointing

This kettle is of poor quality. In fact the worst one I have ever purchased. It looks and feels tinny.As another reviewer said the lid has to be pulled off and then leaves water all over the worktop. The filter is much too small and therefore the kettle needs descaling very frequently.I so wish I had bought another Smeg. More expensive but well worth the extra money.
