It's an IPS panel, and the image quality is even better than I expected! The adjustable height was an unexpected bonus. You can't go wrong with Dell monitors, or with BH!

Excellent monitor. I gave it four stars due to the cable ports being the type that require you to push up instead of being back to front. It's almost impossible to see where to plug in the connectors. A suggestion would be to lay the monitor on a flat surface to connect the cables instead of upright on the stand. There is a switch on the back of the monitor next to the power button that pushes in and also up, down, and side to side for setting up the monitor. This monitor came with the resolution pre-set at 1280x1024 which creates a one inch black border on the right and left margins. The borders can be removed by changing the resolution setting to 1920x1080 so that it will show the full screen.

Product was shipped and arrived in a high quality, well padded shipping carton.All components to support the product such as power cables and data connector were also well packaged as not to be damaged or inflict damage on the monitor.The monitor worked to specifications as indicated in the product guide provided by Dell.This device will be used in a commercial setting were quality and reliability are essential. All previous Dell Monitors products were well up to this high standard.

This is probably a "me" issue rather than a Dell issue. I bought this as my secondary monitor and when it works as a second monitor, it does great. However, I've noticed that I get an error message if the computer has fallen asleep and when I wake it up, the monitor claims that it was not set up properly (but it seems like I did, as suggested). It did the same thing when I shut down my computer and started it up after two weeks. The problem resolves when I turn off the monitor and turn it back on again. Strange.
So far the monitor has been ok. It's a good size and visuals are good but I have some problems getting it to show vertical displays. I've google how to do it but it didn't work. A lot of computers don't have a Displayport, including both my MacBook pro and Dell laptop which are both fairly new models. I did have to purchase a HDMI cord which I think should've been included. The Displayport cord is useless to me. Also, maybe the specs didn't say the monitor could swivel side to side, but I realized after getting this monitor that it would've been great if it could.
I will say that I have been purchasing primarily the P-class monitors from Dell for a very long time! They come with a great 3 year advanced exchange warranty...BUT..I have only ever had to use that twice. Out of hundreds of monitors, only two failure within the first three years is great! We have many monitors that have been in use for 10+ years. Sure you can find the similar size monitors for much cheaper, but I found you do get what you pay for. And with most companies, exchanging them is a hassle, with Dell they send you a new one the next day!
Despite the documentation and the text describing the monitor, it is NOT adjustable. I am an IT professional, so I know how to work with monitors. Additionally, the screen has a yellow-ish color that cannot be adjusted out. The controls are on the back side of the monitor for absolutely no good reason except to be awkward. The only positive is it came promptly and it turns on. Would NOT recommend.
Received the monitors well packaged. Serves the purpose of home office monitors very well, with added functionalities of swivel, height adjustment, tilt etc. Have one of these connect via HDMI and other with a DP. The extra USB ports on the monitor help with accessories and peripherals so I did not need to buy a very high-end dock with multiple inputs/output. Works great with my current Targus docking station.
This is a solid reliable monitor with crisp detail and vibrant colors. Very easy to connect with included DisplayPort cables and the height adjustable stand makes for a perfect ergonomic setup. The versatile stand also allows for portrait or landscape viewing and adds a nice amount of flexibility depending on your individual needs. It's just the right size for viewing documents and spreadsheets and handles graphic images with ease. Utilizing two of these on the optional Dell dual monitor stand is absolutely perfect and highly recommended!!
Purchased this monitor for 2 primary reasons: a) to replace an aged 19in monitor and b.) to move forward with technology. The overall results has been great, and fantastic quality and clarity of screen. Appreciate the additional USB connections. A remarkable base stand. Price was also well below other vendors, an additonal plus in my decision making. Recommend!!
